Tony Khan Explains Decision To Give Promotions To Certain AEW Talents

In All Elite Wrestling, hard work pays off.

Tony Khan recently spoke with TV Insider for an interview, during which he was asked about some of the recent promotions that were handed down to some of the talents in the company.

As noted, Khan announced AEW expanding their talent relations and developmental teams earlier this month. The decision included Madison Rayne joining the company as not only an in-ring performer, but also one of the coaches of the women's division.

Additionally, Sonjay Dutt, who is part of the on-air trio that includes Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh, was named the Vice President of Production and Creative Coordination. QT Marshall was named Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination in addition to his spot as the leader of The Factory faction. Pat Buck, Tony Schiavone and Christopher Daniels also received promotions.

Featured below are some of the highlights from Tony Khan's discussion with TV Insider where he talks about some of these promotions and the reasons behind them.

On the reason he gave the promotions to the people that he did: "The people that receive promotions recently had been doing great work for a long time. I think all of them stepped up and helped the company in ways that made me feel really comfortable about entrusting them."

On Madison Rayne: "I thought Madison Rayne would be a tremendous addition for us. She came with tremendous references, including great references from people who work for AEW already. She is widely respected by her peers and by wrestling fans all over the world."
