-- Apart from one appearance in NJPW, AEW star Jack Perry has not been seen since his backstage scuffle with CM Punk at All In last summer. It was Punk's second altercation within a year and it led to his termination from AEW while Perry was suspended for his involvement and as noted, has made no further appearances for the promotion. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that Perry still has significant heat with Tony Khan after that incident.
-- According to Meltzer, Perry has "absolutely not been fired" but obviously isn't being used because "Tony is really mad at him" because the backstage fight forced Khan to fire Punk and subsequently lose him to WWE. Meltzer went onto say that Perry should have been suspended for "a month or two" but it's at seven months now, which is "ridiculous" but clearly implies that Perry is getting the blame.
