Tony Khan Reveals Brian Kendrick Was Pulled From AEW Debut Match Due To Anti-Semitic Comments

What happened to Brian Kendrick's AEW debut on this week's edition of Dynamite?

As reported prior to the show on Wednesday night at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois, the former WWE Superstar was scheduled to square off against Jon Moxley in his in-ring debut for the promotion.

When the show began, however, it was Wheeler Yuta who emerged from the locker room to face off against Mox in the opening match of the night.

So, what happened?

Tony Khan took to social media just over an hour before the show kicked off on TBS and revealed that Kendrick was being pulled due to "abhorrent and offensive comments" that he made in public in the past.

The boss-man of All Elite Wrestling wrote the following via his official Twitter page to announce that Kendrick was pulled from his advertised bout soon-after he learned of the controversial and anti-semitic comments made by the pro wrestling veteran.

"We’ve been made aware of abhorrent [and] offensive comments made in the past by Brian Kendrick," Khan stated. "There’s no room in AEW for the views expressed by Brian."

Khan added, "We think it’s best for all that Brian be pulled from tonight’s card as we gather more info. We’ll announce a replacement bout ASAP."
