Although it's Wednesday, not Friday, the AEW boss-man is on a rampage.
Tony Khan took to social media on Tuesday evening and lashed out at ESPN boxing journalist Mike Coppinger, claiming he is essentially pushing lies on behalf of WWE CEO Nick Khan.
Coppinger took to social media and wrote about AEW only having a 40,000-seat configuration for their upcoming AEW ALL IN 2023 special event at Wembley Stadium in London, England on August 27, whereas the recent Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte heavyweight boxing bout in the same venue seated 94,000.
"Hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40K for AEW," Coppinger wrote. "Far cry from last April when I was ringside for Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte and it was packed to the brim with 94,000. Nothing beats the big-fight feel at Wembley."
Khan shot back at the ESPN boxing reporter, claiming he is basically a lackey for Nick Khan and that was the motivation behind his above comments.
"LIES," Khan wrote. "What a load of crap. Tell your agent Nick Khan to shove it up his ass."
In an additional tweet, Khan continued, "Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter [and] represent the Worldwide Leader, I'm just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that's so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?"

Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter + represent the Worldwide Leader, I'm just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that's so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?
