Top AEW Star Discusses Whether She Has Any Goals Left To Achieve In The Company

In an interview with Wrestfriends, AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander discussed various topics, including whether she has any goals left to achieve in the company.

This is what Kris Statlander said, “Yes. Being able to hold multiple belts at once would be uh an incredible feat. I also, now that we have the tag titles, that could be another thing. And then I could be maybe the first-ever triple crown champion if that’s what the term is. I’m not quite sure. I’m like, I don’t know. I never like there’s so many different terms to like hold all the belts, and I’m like I could be the first one to do that. I also just wild card out there. I’ll challenge for the TNT title, and I’ll win the TNT title. Is that going to happen? I don’t know. But if it is, I’d love to at least attempt for it. Ricochet has called me out a few times. Why? I don’t know. But if he’s trying to threaten me for my title, I’ll threaten him for his title. So, Ricochet, watch your back. There’s a lot of things to accomplish, and like personally, I love tag wrestling so much. My trainers were tag wrestlers. It’s something that’s so like embedded in me. And my favorite type of wrestling match is a tag match, a really, really solid tag match. So being able to possibly do that and possibly find someone to stick with me long enough that I that will be cool with me to become that level of a tag team would be an honor as well. So hopefully I can find someone that will put up with me for that long.”

On the matches she would suggest to fans who aren’t familiar with her:

“That is very tough because I have a lot of very like significant milestones that may not have been like my favorite match or may not have like fully embodied me but I feel like were very strong, and I feel like there’s not one match to define me because like you said I can do like a little bit of hardcore stuff and then also regular. So, obviously speaking of hardcore, I think my Chicago Street Fight with Willow Nightingale would probably be one, but I don’t want people to only think that I am just a hardcore wrestler. So, there’s another one like possibly one of my, what is it? It was one of my earlier matches. It was my first-ever main event match, and it was against Ruby Soho on Rampage in Las Vegas, I believe, in 2021. I lost that match, but it was one of those times that we did the promo right before it, and the crowd was just so behind me and like even though I lost, they still really showed their love and compassion for me. That’s one I think would be a really good show. I also think my matches with Mercedes, all three of them, would be very telling because I can’t just pick one because there is like a story that is weaved throughout all three of them, I feel, and I think that trilogy would be something important to show. I also think maybe when I won the TBS Title, even though it was a quick thing, I think that, plus when I solidified myself as a champion, as a TBS Champion, that collection could be something. Even any of the ones that I was doing in that, where I wrestled like every single Dynamite and Collision for like three months straight basically. I feel like it’s so hard for me to pick just one because I’m so proud of so much of my work, and so many of the people that I got to work with that it’s like I I truly don’t think that there’s one that like really defines me because I do try to like I said like vibe with whoever I’m in there with. And any of those first three things that I mentioned, I think, would be the ideal ones. I don’t know. It’s really hard for me to pick.”
