Top NJPW Star Tetsuya Naito has had his fair share of injuries and surgeries and one of the recent as well as major ones he has had was back in 2019, when he had an eye surgery that put him out of action for 20 days. Tokyo Sports reports that Tetsuya Naito is set to undergo eye surgery again soon and the surgery will be done in order to repair the superior oblique muscle paralysis in his right eye, which was causing him to have double vision.
According to Naito, his eye is in a worse shape now than it was when he had his first surgery back in 2019 and the upcoming Best of the Super Juniors tournament is actually favorable to him because it is providing him a much needed break in his schedule to allow the eye surgery to happen. Tetsuya went up against IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada at the NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2022 Event, but was unsuccessful in defeating Okada for the title.
