Top-Rope Breaks During WWE Newcastle Main Event, Bobby Lashley Takes Bad Fall (Video)

WWE had an incident with the ring breaking at a stop on their ongoing overseas tour earlier today.

At the WWE Newcastle show in England on Thursday, there was a spectacle-style incident in the form of a ring malfunction during the Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley main event.

During the McIntyre-Lashley bout, the top-rope of the ring broke as "The Scottish Warrior" was running the ropes looking for his Claymore Kick finishing move when the rope snapped.

At the same time, "The All Mighty" was hitting the ropes and when they broke, he went flying backwards, flipping over the ropes and crashing and burning on the floor at ringside in what looked like a painful fall.

Lashley was able to return to the ring to finish the match, which McIntyre would go on to win, and did not seem to be injured as a result of the awklward landing.

After the bout, McIntyre wrote via Twitter, "Thank you WWE Newcastle. We tore the house…..and the ring down!”
