During an appearance on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, TNA World Champion Trick Williams talked about various topics, including why he believes he would be the ideal final opponent for 17-time World Champion John Cena on Cena's ongoing retirement tour.
This is what Trick Williams said, “Man, to be honest with you, I can’t think of one man better for the job than me. We’re talking about a guy who put the business on his back for a long time, and his last match needs to be with a guy who can handle that weight, who can handle that pressure. We’re talking about the future. We’re talking about the guy who is going to be carrying the brand for a long time, 10-plus years in the game, into the future. I am that guy, undoubtedly, undeniably, I am the future of WWE, so if John Cena wants to pass the torch forward to a guy who can carry the weight, Trick Williams is that guy.”
Cena's upcoming opponent will be AJ Styles at the WWE Crown Jewel premium live event next month.
