This past weekend, WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event featured Drew McIntyre facing off against the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. In the opening match, Rhodes successfully defended his title against McIntyre by executing a DDT onto the championship belt, which McIntyre had brought into the ring.
Following his loss, McIntyre took to his official Twitter (X) account to respond with a clip from a classic story involving Cody Rhodes. In the clip, Rhodes recounts an incident with Ted DiBiase Jr., in which DiBiase expressed his frustration over a referee's decision in a match, stating, “Where’s that referee? He was trying to f**k on me!”
For context, Rhodes shared this story at Starrcast in 2018, recalling how DiBiase was upset after the finish of a tag team match on SmackDown during their time in Legacy in 2021. DiBiase Jr. has since claimed that Rhodes' account of the story is not true.
