Top WWE Star Threatens Legal Action Against Company After Title Loss On Monday’s RAW

This past Monday night on WWE RAW, Maxxine Dupri of Alpha Academy defeated "The Man" Becky Lynch to become the new Women's Intercontinental Champion. Dupri secured her victory after a returning AJ Lee appeared during the match, distracting Lynch and enabling Dupri to achieve a surprising win.

Since the match, Lynch has taken to Twitter (X) to threaten WWE with a lawsuit, claiming that Lee did not possess the required manager’s license to be at ringside.

This situation follows WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque sharing a customary photo on Twitter (X) with Dupri to celebrate her title win. In his post, Triple H wrote, “Winning your first title from a multi-time world champion at the World’s Most Famous Arena…doesn’t get bigger than that. This is the @TheGarden. Congratulations @maxxinedupri!”

Lynch later responded, stating, “Three letters: NML. No. Managers. License. In the state of New York, that is governed by the state athletic commission, a managers license must be attained for interfering parties to be allowed at ringside. Therefore, hence, vis-à-vis, the outcome of this title match, which has been clearly rigged, is hereby under protest. You will be hearing from my lawyer imminently. The changing of the side plates will result in a lawsuit.”

It remains unclear whether Lynch’s legal threats will lead to any action, but it seems the controversy is far from over.
