Top WWE Tag Team Makes Their Return On Monday Night RAW

The WrestleMania 37 fallout episode of Monday Night RAW saw top WWE tag team The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) make their much-anticipated and long-awaited return to in-ring action when they took on the team of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in Tag Team action and beat them by putting Cedric away with their double team Viking Experience finishing move.

Since September of last year, Ivar had been out of in-ring action since undergoing neck surgery. Ivar had been dealing with neck issues for a while now, but aggravated the injuries ever more on a suicide dive during an 8-Man Tag Team Match on the September 7th RAW episode. He then went under the knife at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama in mid-September.

Erik, on the other hand, has worked a number of shows since Ivar has been on the shelf, but Erik also spent some time out of the ring as he took some time off to be with his wife, former WWE talent Sarah Logan, as they welcomed their first child together back in February. Erik then won the WWE 24/7 Title back in November but besides last Friday’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, he has not wrestled since the November 9th RAW episode when he lost the WWE 24/7 Title to Drew Gulak. While Ivar was gone from action, Erik has mostly worked WWE Main Event matches.

The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) are one-time former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions and one-time former RAW Tag Team Champions.
