-- CM Punk has drawn his share of blame for his backstage behavior within AEW that ultimately led to his departure from the company and whether that was true or not is now even further up for debate. Since re-joining WWE, positive reports have emerged at Punk's helpful nature with some of WWE's younger talent and the way he has carried himself backstage in a professional manner. Reigning NXT champion Trick Williams is the latest to sing Punk's praises. Appearing on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Trick had this to say:
"Mentor is a perfect way to put it, man. He has been a blessing for all of us who would take the time to actually go talk to him and reach out to him. He’s helped me with a few things that I feel like, if the crowd knew about it, they would be very grateful that he did. I’m just going to leave it there. Shoutout to CM Punk, man. He’s been a positive light for all of us here in NXT."
-- WWE has previously uploaded footage showing Punk working out at the Performance Center in prepration for the Royal Rumble and Williams was one of the wrestlers who was shown with him. Punk ended up getting injured during that match and has been rehabbing a torn tricep since then, making regular visits to the Performance Center to work out with talent there and offer any advice that they may need. NXT head Shawn Michaels recently also commended Punk, saying he is a "joy" to have around.
