The Godfather of NXT took to social media to share his obligatory backstage photos with a new champion crowned on the first episode of WWE NXT to air in its' new weekly time slot on Tuesday nights following this week's show.
After the post-NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver episode of the weekly black-and-gold brand program on the USA Network on Tuesday night, WWE executive Triple H took photos with and commented on KUSHUDA capturing the Cruiserweight title with his victory in the "Open Challenge" issued by the previously undisputed champion, Santos Escobar.
“Success is about finding the right time to seize an opportunity. Last night, KUSHIDA did just that," wrote HHH via his official Twitter feed. "The WWE NXT Cruiserweight division runs on HIS time now. #AndNew."
Also chiming in was WWE Hall of Fame legend and fellow NXT enthusiast, Shawn Michaels.
“It sure is," HBK added as a reaction to the previous post made by HHH. "ANYTHING can happen in WWE NXT… ESPECIALLY on Tuesday nights! Congratulations to the new Cruiserweight Champion, KUSHIDA!"
KUSHIDA also commented on his big victory on Tuesday night's show.
“WHAT A MOMENT," he wrote. "Thanks NXT universe. Muchas gracias, Santos Escobar."
Finally, Escobar himself took to Twitter to comment on losing the title and to react to the post made by KUSHIDA thanking him for the match.
“Tonight is your night… Champ," wrote Escobar. "You better grow eyes on the back of your head KUSHIDA. WWE NXT belongs to me… so good luck from now on."
