Two New WWE Superstars Win Their Debut Matches On 205 Live

It was previously reported that two new WWE Stars are set to make their debuts on this week's episode of 205 Live. It was first announced that Ikemen Jiro is set to team with August Grey to go up against Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari. It was also announced that Ari Sterling will face Samir Singh in Singles action.

Both new WWE Stars won their respective matches during last night's episode of 205 Live. Ari Sterling beat Samir Singh via pinfall in Singles action, when he used a unique front-flip face slam to get the win. We also saw Ikemen Jiro win the match for his team when he pinned Nese after a kick to the face. During the match, Ikemen Jiro was wrestling, while still wearing his jacket as according to Grey, his tag partner, Ikemen translates to “handsome” and since he believes that handsome men wear jackets, he wore his while competing.

Ikemen Jiro and Ari Sterling were previously announced as members of the WWE Performance Center Class last December 2020, which is the exact same group that featured NXT Tag Team Champions MSK as well as NXT Superstar Tyler Rust.

Prior to signing with WWE, Ikemen Jiro was known as Sojiru “Ikemen” Higuchi. He was trained by former WWE Star Tajiri and has competed for promotions such as AJPW and Wrestle-1 in Japan. Ari Sterling, on the other hand, (Alex Brandenburg) was known as Alex Zayne on the independent scene. He’s been on the indie scene and has been wrestling for 15 years and has worked for promotions like ROH, GCW and Black Label Pro.

Immediately after the match, both Sterling and Jiro took to their Twitter accounts and thanked people for their incredible support.
