-- WWE and NBC present the first of four "Saturday Night's Main Event" specials on December 14 in Long Island, NY and it appears that two matches are already penciled in for the event.
-- In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Title and Gunther vs. Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title are currently scheduled for the card, though not "etched in stone."
-- Owens is currently working a storyline where he has been suspended by WWE for attacking Rhodes in a parking lot after Bad Blood and then showed up on Smackdown and took out Randy Orton despite the suspension. He then released a video stating that he isn't sure when he will return to WWE due to the disrespect he has been shown. Gunther taking on Priest would be a rematch from their SummerSlam bout.
-- Saturday Night's Main Event will air on NBC in primetime as part of WWE's new deal with NBCU that saw Smackdown return to the network. Not much else is known about the event other than WWE is strongly tying it to the events from the late 80s and 90s and are likely to bring in Hall of Fame commentator Jesse "The Body" Ventura in either his old role or at least in an appearance of some sort. Ventura recently inked a Legends deal with WWE.
