WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk will be back in action next week in a title defense match.
Announced today on WWE Raw and only two weeks after successfully overcoming the challenge of Bron Breakker, Punk will be taking on an opponent he has never faced before - Finn Balor. Balor has only been a WWE World Champion once - back in 2016 when he beat Seth Rollins but had to vacate the title next day due to an injury. Since then, he's won other gold but has never ascended back to the very top.
Also announced for next's WWE Raw is a Women's Intercontinental Title rematch with Becky Lynch putting the belt on the line against former champion Maxxine Dupri. Lynch originally lost the title in November to Dupri but then gained it back last week on Raw.
Next week's WWE Raw will once again take place overseas - this time in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It will stream live on Netflix at 3 PM ET. While not from the country itself, Lynch and Balor are from the neighboring nation Ireland.
