-- Booker T recently raised some eyebrows when he mentioned on his podcast about almost getting into it with CM Punk at this week's NXT show on Tuesday without providing much context surrounding said incident. Fightfulselect.com is reporting that the incident was either completely over-blown or possibly not even true as nobody backstage was aware of any sort of confrontation between the two.
-- As per the report, there was a "feeling of skepticism" regarding Booker's comments as Punk has not had any backstage issues since returning to WWE last year. Furthermore, security NXT were completely unaware of any disturbance or incident. Sources reportedly expressed "surprise" and "frustration" that Booker would make such a claim without providing more details given Punk's history of having backstage altercations. One wrestler flat-out denied Booker's claiming, pointing to the Hall of Famer previously talking up heat with Corey Graves that turned out to be made up.
-- In regards to Punk, NXT sources continue to maintain that Punk has been "very helpful" whenever he's been backstage, assisting talent and officials in whatever capacity he has been needed in. This past week, Punk was said to be in good spirits but largely kept to himself apart from speaking with Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom and a few members of the NXT roster.
