"The Best in the World" is still a hero in Chi-Town.
As noted, CM Punk was among those in attendance at the IMPACT Spring Slugfest 2023 taping at Cicero Stadium in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois over the weekend.
According to a report at Fightful Select, Punk spoke with more than a dozen Impact wrestlers, and exchanged pleasantries while backstage.
He reportedly had some kind words for a few of the wrestlers he met backstage, and he even played a round of Uno with one wrestler.
The report also noted that several wrestlers backstage described Punk as "pleasant," "in a good mood" and "happy to be there."
it should be noted that despite Punk appearing at the IMPACT Wrestling special event in Chicago over the weekend, he is not scheduled to do any actual work with the promotion, and is still slated to return to All Elite Wrestling at the new AEW Collision brand expecting to launch in June.
