-On Tuesday, The Joshi Sun-Times reported that Joshi legend Kyoko Inoue has tested positive for COVID-19. Inoue is the founder of World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana, and also the promotions current champion. As a result of the positive test, Kyoko is at home resting, and all of Diana’s August events have been cancelled.
-The report also noted that Diana won’t be the only promotion canceling shows. Marvelous has also cancelled their August 8th event, while Sendai Girls has postponed their August 14th show in Miyagi.
-In other news, Ryo Mizunami took to Twitter this morning, where she mentioned she would be returning home from the hospital. Mizunami was diagnosed with COVID-19, and she’s now recovering at home.
I was able to safely leave the hospital today.
I would like to return to "Aniki" while staying alert and paying close attention to prevent recurrence.
I'm sorry to worry you all.
And thank you for all the messages of encouragement! pic.twitter.com/I8FfbXQxLG— 水波綾 (Ryo Mizunami) (@mizunami0324) August 3, 2021
