Vice TV Orders Super-Sized Third Season Of Popular Docuseries "Dark Side Of The Ring"

The smash-hit documentary series on Vice Television focusing on tragic and dark stories from the world of professional wrestling, "Dark Side of the Ring," has been renewed for a third season.

Following the success of the first two seasons of the original documentary series produced by Vice Studios Canada in partnership with Bell Media's Crave, which was the highest rated show on Vice TV, the hit-series will return for a third season, with new episodes scheduled to premiere in 2021.

"'Dark Side of the Ring' is a knockout show for Vice TV," Vice TV Executive Vice President & General Manager Morgan Hertzan told Variety this week. "The tag-team executive producers Evan Husney and Jason Eisener are true heavyweight champions of the world (of TV), and we are so excited to pin down a third season of this incredible series."

Hertzan added, "Seasons one and two of 'Dark Side of the Ring' are examples of the compelling, thought-provoking, and engaging storytelling we champion here at Vice TV. We can’t wait to see what the series will throw down in the third round!"

While the subjects and wrestlers covered in the new episodes of the third season of "Dark Side of the Ring" are currently unknown, with those details expected to come in the very near future, we can confirm that Vice TV has ordered 14 more episodes of the popular pro wrestling docuseries.

By comparison sake, season one of "Dark Side of the Ring", which aired as first-run programming on Vice TV in April and May of 2019, had only six episodes. The second season, which premiered and aired in March, April and May of 2020, featured ten episodes.

We will keep you posted here at Rajah.com as updates continue to surface regarding "Dark Side of the Ring" season three episodes and the content scheduled to be featured on the 14-episode season of the hit-documentary series on Vice TV.
