-- A few weeks ago, Becky Lynch made some public comments talking about Vince McMahon’s involvement in WWE pointing to a specific scenario where the WWE CEO demonstrated “falling off a tower” without hesitation. Fightful.com reports that the spot that Lynch was referring to was during a dress rehearsal at WrestleMania 36. Rob Gronkowski, who was preparing for his segment was nervous and in order to show him that the spot was safe, 74-year old Vince actually did the dive himself and then said to Gronk “not so bad, is it?” which surprised some people.
— One source told Fightful that Gronk was “terrified” of the dive even though he had multiple people catching him. Even after McMahon demonstrated that the stunt was safe, it took a significant amount of time for Gronkowski to get convinced and WWE used a low camera angle to hide the fact that Gronk bent his knees and “practically fell off the platform” similar to a “toddler jumping into a pool for the first time."
