Vince McMahon Reportedly Adamantly Against No-Cut Clauses in Wrestler Contracts

-- Over the past couple of years, WWE has signed several superstars to huge long term contracts, only to turn around and release them by citing "budget cuts" as the reason. A lot of people have wondered why wrestlers don't specifically negotiate a "no cut" clause into their deals, preventing the company from letting them go and fightfulselect.com has information on why that isn't happening.

-- According to the report, the subject of no-cut clauses was broached and discussed with members of the front office and while many were open to that idea, it is being said that talent were ultimately told that this is a clause that is not negotiable and essentially a deal breaker for WWE. Specifically, it was learned that Vince McMahon is "adamantly" against WWE giving wrestlers any sort of no-cut clauses in their deals.

--WWE extended or re-signed a significant portion of their roster to big money deals in 2019 when AEW was launching but they have since released over 100 talent, many of whom were only one or two years into their contracts.
