According to the Jounral, prosecutors in New York have reached out to individuals identified as alleged victims.

In response to the WSJ report, McMahon released a statement asserting, "I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name."

The report from the WSJ highlighted details from a grand jury subpoena, offering insight into the investigation initiated in 2022. Previously, in 2022, the Journal had reported on McMahon's settlements with several women who had accused him of sexual misconduct during his tenure as CEO, prompting prosecutors to probe these payments. The subpoena also requested communications between McMahon and these women, including Grant.

Furthermore, the WSJ report identified other women mentioned in the grand jury subpoena, including:

  • A WWE contractor allegedly sent unsolicited nude photos and sexually harassed by McMahon.
  • A former WWE wrestler who claimed McMahon coerced her into performing oral sex.
  • Rita Chatterton, a former WWE referee, publicly accusing McMahon of rape.

  • A former WWE employee alleging that John Laurinaitis, then head of talent relations at the company, demoted her after she terminated a romantic relationship with him.
