Wardlow vs. MJF Officially Confirmed For This Sunday's AEW Double Or Nothing

The opening match of last night's episode of AEW Dynamite saw Wardlow take on Shawn Spears in a Steel Cage Match, with MJF as the special guest referee and Wardlow had to defeat Shawn Spears in the match in order to move on to AEW's Double or Nothing and face MJF in a one-on-one matchup. MJF tried all of the underhanded tactics he could think of in an attempt to have Wardlow lose the bout like hiding the key that would unlock the handcuffs he was placed in and use slow 3 counts, but Wardlow still managed to overcome all the odds and defeat Spears.

At one point during the match, Wardlow managed to avoid a viscous chair shot from Spears that knocked MJF out, then he would hit his powerbomb symphony on Spears to pick up the victory. Since Wardlow was able to accomplish everything that was required of him, his match against MJF at this coming Sunday’s AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Event was made official.

Wardlow will now battle MJF in a Singles Match at AEW Double Or Nothing and if he wins, then MJF will release him from his contract with The Salt Of The Earth and he will be able to sign with AEW, but if MJF wins, then Wardlow will forever be banned from signing a contract with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW's Double or Nothing PPV Event is set to take place on Sunday, May 29 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. AEW's Double or Nothing PPV will be headlined by AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page defending his title against CM Punk.
