The main event of last night's NXT episode saw Adam Cole face Bronson Reed in Singles action and walk out of the match with a major victory. Adam Cole then went ahead and stood tall as he was celebrating his major win until Kyle O’Reilly attacked him from behind with a steel chair. Cole was then suplexed head-first onto the steel ring steps by O'Reilly. Last night's episode of WWE NXT ended with O’Reilly being warned as Cole was being tended to by officials. After last night's NXT episode ended, Cole was still being tended to by officials, then he was helped to the back.
Cole vs. O’Reilly III has been rumored and teased to take place at NXT TakeOver: 36 on Sunday, August 22nd, which is the day after the WWE SummerSlam PPV Event. Their first match saw O’Reilly defeat Cole in an Unsanctioned Match at the TakeOver: Stand and Deliver Night Two Event during WWE's WrestleMania 37 Weekend. Cole then won the second match, which was a standard Singles Match, at NXT Great American Bash on July 6th.
