What Happened After NXT TakeOver Went Off The Air

As previously reported, the main event of last night's NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver Night One Show saw Raquel Gonzalez become the new NXT Women's Champion by beating the former NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai. After the show went off the air, Shirai received a standing ovation from the fans in the CWC. Io then did a bow for the crowd inside the CWC and thanked them as a “thank you Io!” chant rang out.

WWE released a post-show footage of the fans inside the CWC cheering for Shirai after the show ended. WWE also released a post-show footage of McKenzie Mitchell interviewing Raquel Gonzalez after the NXT TakeOver Show came to a close. McKenzie Mitchell asked Raquel Gonzalez if the moment was surreal, but Gonzalez said, “Actually McKenzie, it’s not.”

“It’s not surreal. This is real life, this feels real, and there’s no other word to describe it other than, ‘I told you so!’ “I knew I would be here one day. I knew I would be here, and to stand here right now is just… it’s just 100% real.”
