Things certainly got heated during the WWE Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view on Saturday night.
Literally.
Multiple times during the 35th annual installment of the WWE Royal Rumble special event at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday evening, the massive WrestleMania 38 sign hanging high in the arena caught on fire.
No, seriously.
Due to a pyro issue following Ronda Rousey's victory celebration after her comeback performance in the Women's Royal Rumble match, the big WrestleMania sign caught on fire.
This was why fans may have appeared to be distracted during the Raw Women's Championship contest between Becky Lynch and Doudrop, as security was filing the ticket-holders out of their seats to deal with the issue.
Eventually the sign was lowered, the fire was put out and fans were brought back to their seats.
But things were just getting started.
The show also ended with some great heat due to Brock Lesnar winning the Men's Royal Rumble match after losing the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley due to interference from Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns earlier in the evening.
Oh yeah, and the WrestleMania 38 sign caught on fire due to a pyro issue once again.
Following Lesnar's win in the Men's Royal Rumble match, pyro went off for his victory celebration and yet again it resulted in flames spreading onto the large sign promoting this year's special event on "The Grandest Stage of Them All."
After the show, Becky Lynch took to social media to comment on the sign catching on fire. "Big Time Becks" sarcastically wrote, "so hot I set the WrestleMania sign on fire."
Featured below is her tweet as well as several videos and photos of the two times that the WrestleMania 38 sign hanging inside The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, MO. caught on fire during the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
