Now is the time for "The Ring General" to step up and cement himself in the mix at the top of the card in WWE.
Kevin Sullivan thinks so.
The former WCW head booker spoke on the latest installment of his official podcast, "Tuesday with The Taskmaster," about how GUNTHER needs to step up right now because he doesn't expect Brock Lesnar to ever return to WWE following his inclusion in the heinous sex trafficking and assault charges filed against Vince McMahon in the ongoing WWE lawsuit.
"I think you have to keep going with GUNTHER," said Sullivan about the Imperium leader. "It looks like you've lost Brock [Lesnar], who people pay to see."
He continued, "Right now, GUNTHER is the top horse in your stable that isn't on the racetrack every day, and you've got to keep him fed and clothed."
From there, Sullivan spoke about how GUNTHER needs to graduate from being the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all-time to a world champion for the company. It was here that Sullivan outright stated that he doesn't ever expect to see "The Beast Incarnate" back on WWE programming again.
"GUNTHER needs to win a belt," Sullivan said. "I mean a World Title. He needs to step up because Brock is going to be gone. I don't think we'll ever see Brock again."
