As previously reported, last night's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which was the go-home episode of this Sunday's WWE WrestleMania Backlash PPV, saw the team of Natalya and Tamina defeat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in the opening match to become the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. This was Tamina Snuka’s first-ever major title win in the promotion, not including the WWE 24/7 Championship.
WWE COO Paul "Triple H" Levesque then took to his Twitter to congratulate Natalya and Tamina Snuka in becoming the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
A number of wrestlers also took to social media and congratulated Tamina Snuka on this huge moment in her pro wrestling career such as Charlotte Flair, Lana, Beth Phoenix, Ember Moon, Mickie James, Titus O’Neil, Sasha Banks and Naomi.
