WWE & AEW News: Drew McIntyre's Return To TV; Eddie Kingston Injury Update


-- WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has not been seen from since his Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk at Bad Blood - a bout where McIntyre suffered a legitimate injury that required 16 stitches to close. McIntyre then also took some time off to handle some family matters.

-- While there is nothing that has been finalized, pwinsider.com reports that "creative discussions" regarding McIntyre's return have commenced with details such as when and how he will be inserted back into storylines at the forefront. The report added that various pitches and conversations have taken place regarding the direction of his character heading into WrestleMania next year.

-- AEW star Eddie Kingston who has been sidelined since May after suffering a serious injury to his leg that ended up being diagnosed as a broken tibia as well as ACL and meniscus tears, is reportedly "furiously" pushing himself through rehab to try and get back into the ring as soon as possible. Despite this ramp up, Kingston has been told by his doctors that he won't be cleared for in-ring activity until the June 2025 timeframe.
