WWE Announces Big In-Ring Return And More For Next Week’s Episode Of WWE RAW

WWE announced during last night's WWE RAW that next week's episode of the show will feature a big in-ring return, a first-time-ever singles matchup and a championship match. It was announced that Johnny Gargano will be making his in-ring return on next week’s show, but it was not revealed who he will be facing. Johnny Gargano made his surprise return to WWE on the August 22 episode of WWE RAW and he was confronted by his former tag team partner Austin Theory. That segment ended with Gargano superkicking Theory. Last week’s episode of WWE RAW then saw Theory confront Gargano in an empty arena and telling him that he is jealous of the youngest Mr. Money In The Bank in WWE history. Last night’s WWE RAW saw Austin Theory confront Gargano once again when he interrupted Johnny’s backstage interview with Sarah Schreiber, so it is possible that Austin Theory will be Gargano's opponent next week on WWE RAW.

Next week's episode of WWE RAW will also see Dominik Mysterio battle WWE Hall of Famer Edge in a one-on-one match after Dominik Mysterio turned on his father Rey Mysterio and Edge at last Saturday's WWE Clash At The Castle Event. Last night's episode of WWE RAW saw Edge call Dominik Mysterio out, but he was instead confronted by Rey Mysterio, who told the WWE Hall of Famer to hear him out and his son is being controlled and manipulated by The Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley then made their way out and Dominik Mysterio made his way out as well. The segment would then end with Edge being beaten down and Dominik and The Judgment Day watching from ringside. Rey Mysterio then noted in a backstage interview that he will not put his hands on his son, but he needs to talk to Dominik in private. Mysterio also issued a challenge to The Judgment Day. Corey Graves then said on commentary that there was still no update on Edge’s condition, but the match against Dominik was confirmed for next week.

We will also see reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah defend their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against the team of IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. This is a rematch from the finals of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament, where Rodriguez and Aliyah became the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions when they defeated SKY and Kai.
