Singles Match: Bron Breakker w/ "the Oracle" Paul Heyman vs Seth Rollins

And it appears WWE is of the same mindset at Seth Rollins begins his entrance at 6:03pm. This show is currently being aired also on ESPN 2. Rollins makes his way out to the ring. Breakker is out next, in his return to ring action after a few months' hiatus. This match is brought to you by Invincible Vs. Out now on X-Box, PS 5, consoles, PC, maybe arcades, not the n64, but possibly the new Nintendo! Breakker is out to new (to me, at least?) music, accompanied by WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman. We skip our usual introductions ahead of our bell at 6:07pm. We're off, folks! And we're off to a fast start--within the first sixty seconds, Rollins dodges an opening spear, sends Breakker outside and hits a suicide dive; follows it up by beating Breakker up the ramp and back to the ring; then sends him back outside to hit another suicide dive. Rollins maintains control for the first two minutes. Breakker manages to snag control and slows the pace drastically.

The ref gives a lot of lateral, allowing the action to maintain outside for lengthy periods. Breakker spends about a minute slowly beating Rollins around the ring before taking it back inside. Breakker maintains a slow pace, using slow strikes, trash talking, and suplexes to maintain control. Rollins begins to throw rights in an effort to gain separation, but Breakker shuts it down with a snap suplex. A snaplex? Breakker with a German suplex; he then takes several long moments jawing off-mic at the crowd and stalking Rollins. Breakker with a read naked choke but Rollins escapes. Breakker maintains control as we approach the five-minute mark in our opening match. Rollins at one point whips Breakker into the ropes, setting up a high-speed rope-rebounding, from hell-clotheslining spot in which Breakker lays out Rollins and maintains control. Breakker nearly picks up the win after a Frankensteiner; commentary blames it on less-than-perfect execution of the move. The crowd loudly boos as Breakker spends ample time beating Rollins inside and out of the ring.

After several minutes of a slow pace and multiple releasing suplexes in shades of Lesnar, Rollins finally show signs of life around 6:17pm when he catches Breakker, charging around the ring for a sneak spear, with a kick. Both men are down and the ref starts a ten count. Both men recover and hit the ring just in time, with Rollins slipping in at 9.9 per Wade Barrett. Rollins begins to chain together clotheslines and fists, wearing Breakker down to a knee. Rollins covers but no joy; Rollins then catches a recovering Breakker with a modified strike. He went for the Stomp but Breakker rose up, and Rollins pivoted into a kick. Rollins covers but no joy. Rollins grabs Breakker's wrists and begins to stomp his chest, then sets up for another Stomp. Rollins blows a kiss goodbye to Heyman before attempting the Stomp; this allows Breakker enough time to recover and block the move.

Breakker hits a military press into a gut-bomb knee drop. Rollins recovers and goes for a Stomp. Breakker avoids it and strikes, hitting a standing Moonsault. Breakker covers but no joy. Breakker takes Rollins into a corner at 6:20pm, firing off five punches. Rollins powers out of the corner, hitting a Buckle Bomb on Bron Breakker on the opposite corner. Breakker Cena's up and comes out of the corner with a big clothesline, dropping Rollins. Both men are down for a few. Rollins exits the ring, recovering as he limps around it. Breakker recovers and takes down Rollins before setting him up on a commentary table. Breakker gets on the apron and hits a leaping clothesline to Rollins, across the table. Breakker takes Rollins back into the ring as the re counts a warning. Both Superstars battle near the corner and onto the ropes. Rollins executes his signature Superplex but, before he can chain it into a Falcon Arrow, Breakker interrupts tbe move and hits a Falcon Arrow on Rollins! The crowd is on fire for this spot at 6:23pm. Breakker covers but no pin, no joy, no finish. Breakker takes Rollins into a nearby corner and batters him as he positions him the top turnbuckle.

Breakker with a Frankensteiner off the top! Bron again positions Seth on the top turnbuckle and hits another Frankensteiner! Rollins lands on his feet and begins to Cena-up! Rollins ducks under a clothesline and connects with a Superkick! And another! He goes for a third but Breakker blocks it. Rollins counters with a Pedigree to a big pop! The crowd is on their feet as Rollins hits the Stomp on Breakker! Heyman distracts the ref so Rollins can't pin. Rollins rolls out of the ring and gets a steel chair. His spider-sense must be tingling, because he turns just in time to take out Logan Paul and Austin Theory as they try to attack from behind outside the ring! Seth uses the chair to chase them off then charges the ring. As soon as Seth enters, Breakker connects with a big spear and covers--but no joy! Breakker pulls down his straps and looks for a spear. Rollins counters by hopping up and converting Breakker's momentum into a Pedigree! Rollins heads up top, looking for an Avalanche Stomp. Breakker cosplays as a Patriot missile and intercepts Seth, dropping him out of the sky with a spear! Breakker follows it up with a second spear and covers to pick up the win at 6:28pm!
Your Winner, Bron Breakker! (21 minutes)

United States Championship Match: Trick Williams(c) w/ Lil Yachty vs Sami Zayn

Our challenger is out first. Out next is our champ, escorted by Lil Yachty. We're also reminded of the passing of the Gingerbread Man. Our bell is coming up at 6:40pm. Both Superstars lock up and immediately battle into a corner, with Zayn having a very brief early lead. Williams takes control to a big pop, but alas, even that wasn't meant to last. Zayn takes a very lengthy, very slow-paced, stretch in control that last a few minutes. Trick shows sign of life at 6:45pm, catching Zayn with a spin kick and a powerslam to a pop. Williams spends precious moments playing to the crowd. He survives an attempted takedown by Zayn and posts up in the corner. Williams looks for a Trick Kick but Zayn sidesteps and looks for a Blue Thunder Bomb. Trick counters with a Book End! Williams covers but King Booker's finisher couldn't do the trick.

Williams takes Zayn to the corner, slowing the pace for a spell. The two battle on the turnbuckles before crashing to the canvas. Sami sets up and charges in for a Helluva Kick but runs into a Big Boot from Williams! Trick looks for his Cyclone Kick but Sami avoids it and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb! Sami covers but Trick kicks out! The action continue until Sami appears ot hurt his knee; the ref forces distance and checks on him. Sami suckers in Trick and rolls him up but no joy. Lil Yachty slides a crutch into the ring and hops on the apron to distract the ref. Sami uses the opportunity to retrieve the crutch first and smashes it across Trick's head! Sami covers but no joy! Sami maintains control for a few, dropping the champ. As the ref checks on Trick, Lil Yachty attacks Zayn with another crutch! Trick quickly recovers and covers Sami but no joy, another kickout at 6:51pm! The action spills outside, where Sami snaps on Lil Yachty and beats him down with a crutch!

This distraction allows Trick to recover and he attacks Zayn on the steps. He looks for a move on the steel steps but Zayn counters, hitting a DDT on them to Trick instead! Sami sends Trick into the ring and posts on the apron. He sees Lil Yachty recovering and hits a Helluva Kick to the back of his head! Haha! Sami heads into the ring, posts up, and looks for a Helluva Kick on Williams. Trick dodges, rebounds off the ropes and hits the Trick Shot! Williams covers and picks up the win at 6:53pm!
Your Winner AND STILL United States Champion, Trick Williams! (13 minutes)

Tag Team Match: the Miz & Kit Wilson vs Danhausen & a Mystery Partner

We switch to ESPN+ for our main card. The Miz & Kit Wilson are out first at 7:01pm. We get a video showing how we got to here, in typical Danhausen fashion. Out next is Danhausen, driving his Danhausen-mobile, and his mystery partner revealed via a crate marked "cloning machine." Who's the clone, you ask? None other than...uh...a Mini-Hausen? A dwarven "clone" exits and rides with Danhausen down to the ring. Well, okay. The Miz and Kit WIlson get plenty of chuckles in. Kit Wilson and MIni-Hausen start first. The crowd is loudly booing right now. Wilson drops Mini-Hausen. Kit looks for a clothesline but Mini fires off some kicks and hits a middle-rope springboard chopblock, of sorts. He then hits a headscissors takedown on a kneeling Wilson. The Miz tags in and Mini-Hausen sends him out of the ring before taking it back to Wilson.

The shenanigans continue, in which Mini-Hausen completely embarrasses the two-time Grand Slam Champion the Miz & Kit Wilson. The Miz and Wilson eventually manage to hold off the four-foot (or less) competitor and take control for a spell. The crowd horribly boos every move and double-team move they execute on poor Mini-Hausen while Danhausen is down outside the ring. Finally around 7:16pm, when Danhausen makes the hot tag. He cleans house in a very nice, very evil fashion. He fires up and holds off Wilson & the Miz both until Mini-Hausen can recover. At one point Mini-Hausen and Kit Wilson battle up the ramp. Wilson closes Min-Hausen in the crate and it starts up. After a few moments, a half dozen or more Mini-Hausens storm out of the crate and attack the Miz & Wilson!

The original Mini-Hausen heads into the ring and attempts to curse Kit Wilson. The Miz interrupts, hitting a Skull-Crushing Finale on Mini-Hausen! Danhausen makes the save! More hilarious hijinks ensue, including Mini-Hausen cursing Kit Wilson. Together, the two manage to put away the Miz and Wilson at 7:22pm.
Your Winners, Danhausen & Mini-Hausen! (19 minutes)

Singles Match: Iyo Sky vs Asuka

After entrances we get started at 7:33pm! We start off fast with Asuka taking control. Iyo and Asuka battle until we get technical difficulties. Approximately 95 seconds later, the match resumes. Asuka keeps the pace steady, using working holds to keep the Genius of the Sky grounded. Iyo rallies, using springboard strikes to stay in the fight. More technical difficulties--yo you charge a lot of money for this crap monthly, fix your stream. We return to find both women down, the crowd popping what was surely an awesome move. Asuka and Iyo recover at the same time, using the ropes to pull up. Both charge; Asuka looks for an Asuka-Lock and cinches it in near the ropes! Iyo rolls, trying to break free. Sky manages to rise to a vertical base and begins to throw back-elbows to gain some separation. Sky charges Asuka; Asuka takes Sky down with an armbar! Iyo fights through it, escaping. Sky slaps the Asuka-Lock on Asuka to a pop! Asuka wiggles and squirms hard, finally getting a toe on the bottom rope! The ref forces the break!

Iyo is to her feet first; Asuka rises on the outside apron. Both climb the turnbuckles, battling. Asuka drops Sky to the canvas and ascends the top. Sky with a big uppercut as Asuka rises! Sky climbs the turnbuckles and begins to unload on Asuka. Asuka executes a Hurricanrana but Asuka rolls through, nearly stealing a win with a roll-up pin! Sky kicks out with a split-second left! Asuka roars and plays to the crowd before charging Sky. Sky avoids it and attacks Asuka, sending her out to the floor. Sky looks for a suicide dive but Asuka catches her with a big right! Asuka rips Sky out of the ring and positions her on the commentary table. Asuka looks for a suplex but Sky battles back. Asuka goes for the mist spray but Sky blocks it with a clipboard! Sky leaps off the commentary table, wiping Asuka out with a crossbody. Sky heads up onto the apron and soars off with a springboard moonsault, wiping out Asuka once again! The battle continues inside the ring, back and forth, until Iyo once again takes control. Sky battles Asuka down and hits the Over the Moonsault to pick up the win at 7:51pm! A fantastic match with a horrible connectivity!
Your Winner, Iyo Sky! (19 minutes)

After the Match: Mending Fences

After the match, Iyo Sky and Asuka hug it out and are friends again.

The Greatest of All Time, John Cena, Makes an Announcement

You want a special announcement? The time is now! Cena comes out to a great pop, wearing a striped suit. He gets on the mic. He tells us that one of the great things about being on this side of the business now, is that he gets to enjoy the great crowd reactions without the fear of someone coming down to kick his teeth in. He takes a moment to soak in a "thank you, Cena" chant. He tells the crowd he loves to hear it and thanks them. "It's moments like this that got me thinking...(what's) the next phase of my WWE career." The crowd chants one more match; he states he expected that. They do it louder, haha. "You don't know how good that makes me feel. And I think a lot about that last match." He states that he was truly happy after it and what was most important about that night, was that the WWE Universe made it an evening of opportunity. Cena states he made sure that whomever he faced had to earn their way in; he asked WWE Superstars to give spots to NXT Superstars to show the world what they had, and they did. "We saw Sol Ruca. We saw Je'Von Evans. Yo, we saw Oba Femi." The crowd rips off a loud "Oba/WOO" chant.

Cena hopes we're listening because this is what energy sounds like. He points out that Oba Femi debuts in December and, four months later, "he's strutting and kicking Brock Lesnar's ass at WrestleMania. So then it hit me--we've gotta do this again. So we are! I am so honored tonight to announce to you the John Cena Classic. An entire evening of the best of today, competing with the best of tomorrow. An entire event where WWE Superstars and NXT Superstars get an opportunity to give you all they have in hopes of crowning a champion. That's right, tonight we are making history tonight because we have a new brand new event and the debut of a brand new championship in the WWE! And not just any championship; this is an event and this is a championship that I'm personally putting my name on. So I am going to strive for a certain level of excellence, and I'm also going to do everything can to make it special. I have said time and time again, the biggest Superstar in the WWE is the WWE Universe. So on top of a new event, on top of a new championship, for the first time in history--your voice will be heard louder than ever before! Because you, the audience, the fans will vote to crown the championship of the John Cena Classic!"

He goes on to state that he doesn't want this to just be a one-off event; he wants it to go on for years, decades even. He takes time to thank WWE, everyone watching at home, and the city of Tampa Bay. He reminds us that the city means a lot to John Cena for a whole lot of reasons. He thanks us for our time, attention, enthusiasm, energy, and the noise. He then peace-outs. after telling us he'll see us at the John Cena Classic--and that it's time for our main event!

World Heavyweight Championship Main Event Match: Roman Reigns(c) vs Jacob Fatu

The Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu, is out first at 8:15pm wearing a lei done by the daughter of Haku. We're reminded that Haku perfected the Tonga Death Grip (created) and while it's considered taboo to use, Fatu will use the taboo move to prove his mettle against the Tribal Chief. Cole also reminds us that Fatu has used it recently and effectively against the OTC. Speaking of, we get our Tribal Chief's epic entrance at 8:18pm! We get our official introductions ahead of our bell at 8:24pm. Cole reminds us that Fatu is ultimately mad at Roman Reigns for never bringing Jacob into the Bloodline back in the day, insisting Jacob wait. Our Superstars take a few moments sizing each other up before engaging. The two begin to lay into each other, with the Samoan Werewolf taking control early on, powered by anger. He uses powerful blows to rock the Champ as commentary does their due diligence explaining why Fatu's upset, as well as how Roman doesn't want the title--he needs it. The crowd is audibly torn between Fatu and the OTC, using dueling chants throughout the match. Fatu battles the champ outside of the ring and back in, using powerful headbutts to once again rock the champ. Reigns begins to fight back around 8:28pm, using mounted punches on Fatu in the corner before chasing it with clubbing clotheslines and forearms.

Fatu rallies, dropping the champ, then spends crucial moments playing up to the crowd. He charges Reigns in the corner but Reigns sidesteps his attack and starts his comeback sequence to a big pop. Both men are down a few but recover at the same time, battling from the canvas to a kneeling position; they continue to slug it out, slowly rising to a vertical base.
