WWE Beginning to Plan for Next Year's WrestleMania; Two-Day Event Still Undecided

-- When it comes to next year’s WrestleMania in Dallas, WWE has contacted AT&T Stadium and discussed several potential ideas including going with a two-day event, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, though nothing is confirmed at the moment. Apart from the Saturday and Sunday WrestleMania, another idea being discussed is to have the stadium hold the PPV on Sunday and then also Monday Night Raw the next night, both events configured for 40,000 seats.

-- As far as the two-day event goes, WWE has been looking into planning, security, insurance, production costs and overall length as compared to a one-day event while also beginning to look into venues/locations for the other shows they have planned for that week. Smackdown right now cannot be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas because the NBA’s Mavericks already have that date secured. Another option is nearby Gerald Ford Stadium which has a capacity of 32,000 as a potential destination for both Raw and Smackdown as the company expects to sell that many tickets due to the tourists that will be in town.
