WWE's The Bump
-Kayla, Matt, and Ryan welcome the viewers onboard, and Kayla gives a rundown of today’s lineup.
-The Bump crew share their thoughts on the latest happenings from all of WWE’s brands, until the first guest arrives.
Queen Zelina and Carmella
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions join The Bump crew via Zoom, and Kayla begins by asking each woman about last Monday’s Raw. Kayla shows Queen Zelina a clip of her loss to Rhea Ripley, and asks if Zelina learned anything. The Queen says “first of all, those peasants distracted me. I look at it as a fluke, I just get to restart my undefeated streak. That’s all.” Matt enters the chat, and asks Carmella why she believes her and Queen Zelina are better Champion's than Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. Carmella says “Nikki doesn’t event know what she is. Rhea, I don’t even know what she’s doing... I mean look at us, you have a Queen, you have a princess. We are a way better pair.” Kayla list off all of Carmella’s accolades, and follows up by asking the former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion where she would rank her reign as Tag Team Champion. Carmella tells viewers “you can’t put one over the other. There is no one else I would rather have as my partner.” Kayla wonders where Queen Zelina would land on the list of Carmella’s favorite partners, and Carmella goes on to say “Queen Zelina knows what it takes to get things done. If sometimes we have to use the other person to get ahead, that’s what we will do. We both want to be a Champion, and that’s what we’re doing.” Matt asks one last question, and he wants to know if Queen Zelina’s first reign as Champion is all that she ever hoped it would be. Queen Zelina states “I feel like there needs to be more for us, I mean where is our roses, and people lifting us up to walk us to the ring? I may get a new crown, and I think Carmella needs something too.” Carmella adds “I agree, maybe a little tiara. We need to celebrate how incredible we are.” Kayla thanks Queen Zelina and Carmella for stopping by, and it’s time for the next segment.
-Matt and Ryan preview the upcoming episode of Smackdown, until Kayla welcomes on the next guest.
Diamond Mine
After finding out Roderick Strong will take on Carmelo Hayes at NXT 2.0 New Years Evil, Diamond Mine joins The Bump crew. Kayla directs her attention to the leader of Diamond Mine, and asks Malcolm Bivens about Strong’s upcoming opponent. Bivens says “Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams... they’ve been talking trash for weeks. Carmelo calls himself ‘the A-Champion,’ but Roderick Strong is THE Champion.” Matt jumps in, and asks Roderick Strong where his place in NXT 2.0 is. Roderick explains “I see myself holding every title. If I hold one more title, I will have held every belt. So after I beat Carmelo, I’m moving on to either Ciampa or Bron Breakker.” Ryan changes gears a bit, and shows The Creed Brothers a clip of their unique training techniques. Julius explains “people think that’s fake weight, but they don’t know what it’s like, because they ain’t ever done it!” Matt turns the interview towards Ivy Nile, and asks the undefeated women’s division star what makes her different from other talent on the roster. Ivy explains “I’m relentless. Everything from my BJJ training, to working with these guys, I mean I have the best resources around." Ivy adds "I’m adaptable, I can square up, and I can get my finish in.” Kayla thanks Diamond Mine for their time, and the final interview of the day is up next.
Drew McIntyre
For the 12th time on the history of the show, Drew McIntyre joins Kayla and the gang via Zoom. Kayla fires away with questions, and asks McIntyre about his attitude in the ring lately. Drew says “I’m still new to Smackdown, and I said I’m willing to prove myself until I get a shot at the Universal Championship. I’m looking forward to the match with Madcap Moss, and I think people will be surprised by how good this match is going to be.” Matt enters the chat, and points out the fact that Day 1 will be the WWE Pay-Per-View debut of Moss. Drew tells viewers “I’m going to destroy him and beat him. I want people to know that they shouldn’t look past the next obstacle. I think people are really going to have good things to say about him after the match, but of course, I’m going to kick his arse.” Ryan joins the fun, and he wants to know how McIntyre would improve Madcap’s comedy routine. Drew explains “just have him stop telling jojes, it’s horrific. I do laugh at their reaction to their own jokes. They laugh so ridiculously, that it’s hard not to laugh. They genuinely laugh.” Kayla follows up with one last question, and she wants to know why all of McIntyre’s opponents keep messing with his sword. Drew goes on to say “I don’t know, they are just insane, I guess. I’m a psychopath, and they gave me a sword? I mean what’s wrong with people, maybe they want to get hurt... I hope they are fast, because inevitably, Angela is gonna connect with somebody.” Drew McIntyre makes his exit from the show, and today’s final interview is in the books.
-Ryan and Matt hype tomorrow Christmas edition of NXT UK, and The Bump fades to black.
