WWE’s The Bump
-Kayla welcomes everyone onboard, and introduces her co-hosts, Matt Camp and Ryan Papolla.
-Matt and Ryan give an early breakdown of tonight’s WWE Day 1 card, until Kayla is ready with the first guest.
Seth Rollins
Moments before his huge Fatal 4-Way match with Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and WWE Champion Big E, Seth “Freakin” Rollins joins The Bump crew to offer up a few comments. Kayla kicks off the interview with Rollins by asking the former WWE and Universal Champion how he’s feeling before tonight’s “monumental moment.” Seth tells viewers “I am prepared, as prepared as I can be. This isn’t new territory for me, I’m going to walk into Day 1, take the WWE Championship, and start the new year off right.” Matt enters the chat, and he wonders if the friendship between Rollins and Kevin Owens will be a factor during tonight’s match. Seth explains “Kevin says we are best friends, but we aren’t. Kevin and I know that one of us will be the WWE Champion if we work together... one of us, one of us.” Ryan chimes in with a Twitter question, and a member of the WWE Universe wonders if Rollins and Owens will continue to stay on the same page past Day 1. Rollins says “no. Twitter can suck it. I do what I want. If I want to be in a tag team with Kevin Owens, I will be. But that isn’t the agenda. The agenda is tonight, Seth Rollins, new WWE Champion.” Kayla rejoins the fun, and she wants to know what kind of preparation goes into a Fatal 4-Way match. Seth explains “there are different strategies, but I’m a master strategist. I know what each man brings to the table. Kevin Owens and I are going to get rid of Bobby Lashley, and Big E, I know his secrets.” Kayla thanks Seth for stopping by the show, and the next segment is up next.
-WWE Smackdown Superstar Drew McIntyre plugs the new Splash Blast Sweepstakes, which will send 4 lucky members of the WWE Universe to WrestleMania 38.
-Ryan and Matt breakdown a few more matches scheduled for Day 1, until Kayla welcomes on the next guest.
Riddle
Ahead of his WWE Raw Tag Team Championship title defense against the Street Profits, Riddle stops by The Bump for a chat with Kayla, Matt, and Ryan. Kayla begins the interview with Riddle by asking the current Raw Tag Team Champion how he’s feeling about defending the titles tonight, and Riddle explains “to be honest, most days I feel a little different, but it’s 2022 now. I feel 100% and we’re in Atlanta, Day 1 Pay Per View, first time ever... there are so many emotions.” Matt pops in, and asks Riddle for his thoughts on the first ever RK-Bronament. The Original Bro tells viewers “you know it was a stallions tournament. There was a good conclusion, Street Profits won, they are a stallion team... Now they get to face RKBro.” Ryan enters the chat with a Twitter question, and summarizes some of past interactions Riddle had had with the Street Profits. Ryan wonders how Team RKBro will matchup with the Street Profits, so Riddle explains “if we are being real here, you got the original bro and the viper, and we are gonna crush it. The Street Profits are cool, Bianca is cool... At the end of the day we are RKBro, we’re stallions, and we’re gonna run this place anyway we want.” Kayla asks one final question, and she wants to know if the bond between Riddle and Orton is piquing. Riddle says “I would say the nine between me and Randy is stronger than ever. I stopped by his bus the other day, played some video games, and it was pretty sweet. I had some beef stew on the bus, but yeah, we’ve been clicking.” Riddle goes on to say “I love Stallion Pete, but Randy is a beautiful guy.” Kayla wishes Riddle luck tonight, and sends him on his way.
-Matt and Ryan make their predictions for all of tonight’s matches, until Kayla signs off, and the show fades to black.
That’s all for today’s special episode of WWE’s The Bump. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy WWE Day 1!
