It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for a recap of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s edition of the show is full of guests, including Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, and Adam Cole. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!
WWE The Bump
⁃ Kayla kicks off today’s show by telling viewers “we’re gonna have a good time”, and she runs down the list of guests that’ll be on the show today.
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew joins the show, and they all share their thoughts on the latest WWE happenings, until Kayla brings on the first guest, Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins
“The Drip King” joins the hosts, and he’s in sunglasses and a robe... inside. Rollins starts off by claiming “I’m the reason this show exists, and I deserve a congratulations for helping it get to 100 episodes.” Kayla congratulates Seth for being a part of “such an iconic show”, and Seth threatens the hosts, saying “I’m going to turn this(his webcam) off.” Kayla straighten things out, and she asks Seth about Cesaro. Rollins explains “Cesaro wants to mosey along like he earns everything... no. I’m the hardest working guy I’m the room, not Cesaro. Understand that!” Rollins goes on to say “I don’t like the guy. Everything about him has changed, and I need to put an end to it.” Evan follows up by asking if Seth wanted Cesaro to win the title, just so he could beat Cesaro. Seth explains “anything to take Cesaro down a notch is fine with me. He’s pretty much useless at this point now. Maybe he would make a good trainer in NXT.” Ryan joins the conversation, and he wonders if there is a “working relationship” between Seth and Roman. Seth explains “that’s telepathy, c’mon man.” Kayla jumps back in, and she wants to know what Seth makes of the Reigns family story. Seth says “if I didn’t find myself as a part of it, I wouldn’t make anything of it. I’ll give Roman the opportunity to do what he needs to do for his family, but if we cross paths again there may be a problem.” Matt brings up Seth’s success in WWE, and asks about others “embracing the vision”. Seth responds, and tells the hosts “wherever I’ve gone, I’ve been successful. Embrace the vision means understanding what it means to get to the next level. Case and point, Dominik and Rey Mysterio. Who helped Dominik deliver at Summerslam? Embrace the vision, and maybe you could be like Dominik.” Kayla thanks Seth for coming by the show, and brings on another guest.
Adam Cole
After a brief exchange between Adam and Seth Rollins, Matt shows Cole a clip from the April 27th edition of NXT. Cole had a few comments for Karrion Kross, and Matt wonders if Cole was trying to ruffle feathers with his words. Cole responds, and explains “I wasnt trying to do anything other than speak facts. I’m just saying he hasn’t proved himself enough to me.” Evan chimes in, and he wants Cole to choose between Finn Balor and Kross. Cole says “clearly I know how good Finn is, and when it comes to Kross, for me it’s an observation. I haven’t faced him. But speaking personally, I’m putting my money on Finn Balor.” Ryan brings up last weeks brief reunion of Undisputed Era members, and Cole says “at the end of the day, I didn’t want me and Kyle to get where we are now. It didn’t have to be this way. Kyle made it that way.” Kayla mentions that there has been “a wealth of new talent in NXT”, and she wonders who he would like to face off with. Cole name drops Bronson Reed, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and says “there are tons of guys I would love the chance to get in there with.” Matt rejoins the conversation, and he points out that it has been 10 months since Cole had a title. Cole tells the hosts “it’s why I do what I do. To be the best, you have to win Championship gold.” He goes on to say “fans make me sick by seemingly forgetting how long I had the title, and people are already talking about Kyle being the next guy. I need to remind the entire world who the best in NXT is.” Ryan follows up by asking Cole about Pat McAfee, and Adam explains “if 2021 couldn’t get any freaking weirder... the guy can run his mouth as good as anyone, but he shouldn’t be on the commentary team. But I understand why he isn’t wrestling anymore... Best of luck, Pat!” Kayla and the hosts thank Adam for coming by the show, and The Bump crew moves on to the next segment.
⁃ Ryan heads over to the board to see what the WWE Universe is “buzzing about”, until Kayla brings on the next guest.
Kevin Owens
Owens joins the show from his car, and he says “I’m actually on a nature trail right now. There’s a squirrel over there, and I just drove by an opossum.” Kevin goes on to say “I watched the post-show on Sunday, and you were so enamored with Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley... do they send you guys checks?” Kayla gets things on track, and she asks about Owens upcoming fatal 4 way match. Owens explains “I want to be Champion again, but if I don’t win the title, I won’t be upset.” Kevin goes on to say that him and Owen Hart not only share a birthday, but they were also two-time Intercontinental Champions, and have held the title for the same amount of days. Evan wonders what the plan is for a fatal 4 way match, and Owens explains the rules. Owens says “I do know everyone watching on Friday will see a hell of a match, because that’s what we do.” Matt follows up by mentioning Owens time in the New Day, and he wants to know if Kevin will work with Big E on Friday. Owens tells the hosts “Big E wasn’t there when that happened, and he wasn’t a fan of ‘Big O’ for some reason... I don’t have anything against him.” Ryan joins the conversation, and he asks about Sami Zayn’s current path. Owen wonders where Zayn’s documentary crew went, and explains “he seems to be on a new trajectory now. If I could just get him to cut his hair, and trim his beard, I’d be happy.” Kayla shows Owens a clip of himself on Talking Smack, where he vowed to “love every second” of his next Universal Championship reign. Kevin responds to the clip, and tells Kayla “I feel like the rivalry me and Roman had last year brought out something in me that hasn’t been there in a while, and I really enjoyed. I beat him three times, and it’s not in the record books. That eats away at me. Roman shouldn’t forget about me.” The crew thanks KO for making an appearance, and they move on to the next segment.
⁃ Kayla and her co-hosts play a segment called “Kayla is backstage”, until the final guest arrives.
Drew McIntyre
Kayla begins by asking Drew about his current mindset, and Drew tells her “it’s been crazy this week. Sunday was a physical match!” Ryan joins the discussion, and he asks about Kofi Kingston’s place in line for the WWE Championship. Drew tells the hosts “Kofi earned the right to face the Champion. If he wants the first opportunity at Lashley, have at it, but I’m gonna keep coming for Lashley.” Matt brings up Sundays battle of the behemoths, and Drew states “we wanted to show the world what the modern big man is made of, and that’s what the match did.” Evan harps on the moment where Drew got distracted at Wrestlemania, and Drew tells him “I need to get him in another singles match. I had the match at Wrestlemania, and I got distracted. I’ll jump through any hoops to get a singles rematch.” Kayla follows up by showing Drew a clip of Jinder Mahal’s comments about him, during last weeks edition of The Bump. Mahal said he became Champion faster than Drew, and he “laid the blueprint down for Drew.” McIntyre reacts to the comments, and says “Jinder is one of my closest friends, but he’s been kind of off lately. I guess technically he has a point. He got to the top and won the title, and I didn’t get here until three years later. I guess he has a legitimate gripe. But he’s been ducking me on Raw.”
⁃ The Bump crew finishes the show with a toast, and thanking everyone for helping them get to this point, as the 100th episode of The Bump fades to black.
That’s all for this weeks episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by the recap, and have a great rest of your day everyone.
