It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another edition of WWE’s The Bump! Today’s episode is full of top notch guests, including Rick Boogs, Shinsuke Nakamura, Mustafa Ali, and Zelina Vega. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!
WWE’s The Bump
⁃ Kayla starts off the show, and tells the viewers “we have a really exciting show on tap for you today.”
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew share a few general thoughts on all of the latest action in WWE, until Kayla brings on the first pair of guest’s.
Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs
After an electric welcome from Rick Boogs, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura joins The Bump crew. Kayla kicks off the interview by asking Shinsuke how he’s doing, and Nakamura explains “I’m great! Actually, I just woke up.” Kayla follows up by asking Shinsuke about the crown he used to wear, and Nakamura tells viewers “I respect the King of the Ring tournament, but I think I still have the right to face to winner of the King of the Ring.” Matt comes behind that by asking Boogs if he ever had as a title as King Nakamura’s assistant, and Rick tells him “I saw myself as a court jester. I gave this guy good energy!” Ryan chimes in with the question on everyone’s mind, and takes Boogs, along with Kayla, back to 2019. Rick infamously jammed out with the host of The Bump, and a hilarious clip of the moment is show. Ryan asks Rick if an encore is on tap, and Boogs says “I remember that! I said hey let’s jam! There’s many things that need to be done before we do an encore. We’re just scratching the surface here!” Matt regroups, and turns his attention to more serious matters. Matt wonders if Shinsuke is keeping an eye on any new additions to Smackdown, and brings up Sheamus’ goal of becoming Intercontinental Champion. Shinsuke says “I’d like to face Sheamus! I know his potential, and experience level. So yeah, I would face Sheamus.” Ryan jumps back in with a Twitter question, and a fan asks for Boogs and Nakamura to name their dream tag team match. Rick answers, and explains “every match I have with this guy is a dream come true. We have been all around the world, like where are we going next? Wherever we go, we’re gonna dominate!” Kayla thanks Shinsuke and Boogs for their time, and we’re on to the next segment.
⁃ The Bump crew reflect on last night’s NXT, until Kayla welcomes on the next guest.
Ahead of his match against Mansoor at WWE Crown Jewel, Mustafa Ali stops by for a chat with Kayla and the gang. Kayla begins by asking Ali how he feels after Monday Night Raw, where Mustafa had “an emotional night.” Ali tells Kayla “say what you really want to say... are you asking about my actions? Here is the problem, Mansoor is trying to help me out, but he didn’t stick to the plan. He wants to do stuff to get the crowd behind him, instead of sticking to the plan. This happens week after week! I tried to fire him up, and told him to take a shot at me, but did he? ...I didn’t want to do this, you don’t understand the intention behind the action. The same fate I have faced, he is destined for. He has to learn to cut corners, and he’s not gonna survive.” Matt follows up by asking Ali if he and Mansoor have went past the point of fixing things, and Mustafa explains “Crown Jewel, that’s a loaded question. The kids in attendance wanted to see us together. Could you imagine all of the people with a name like Mansoor or Ali that could have watched us perform together... And now it’s not happening, it’s his fault!” Kayla rejoins the conversation, and she wants to know if Ali is looking forward to being on Smackdown again. Mustafa says “I know I’m supposed to tell you Smackdown is the land of opportunity, but I don’t believe that crap. Where are my opportunities? I had those right, until Randy Orton took me out... Then Brock just comes out and pushes me off the ladder at Money in the Bank... Frustrated is not the word you guys.” Matt asks Ali a tough question, and he wonders if Mansoor taught Mustafa “anything positive.” Ali tells viewers “I don’t think people understand what I’m trying to say... It was me who went to Mansoor, he will be a big deal in WWE, but he will only learn that when he gets the lesson I’m trying to teach him. He has empathy, and that’s why he will fail.” Kayla thanks Mustafa for the interview, and the show moves on to the final chat of the day.
Fresh off of advancing to the Semifinals of the ongoing Queen’s Crown tournament, Zelina Vega joins The Bump crew, and says “hello everyone except Kayla!” Kayla tells Zelina it’s always nice to have her stop by, and she wonders how Zelina feels about being a part of the tournament. Vega explains “I’m excited to be a part of it, and I’m excited to win! I beat Toni Storm, she’s a loser. I’m going to be even more over the moon when I get to call myself Queen Zelina.” Matt follows up by listing off all of the accolades Toni has acquired so far, and he wonders if Zelina “silenced the naysayers,” after defeating Storm. Zelina tells Matt “I think I shut down everyone, and now I’m just sitting here stunting! I should be the favorite to win, and now I’m gonna have to go up against my friend.” Ryan joins the chat, and he has a tweet from Zelina’s friend, Carmella. After Ryan reads the tweet, Vega responds, and explains “I think Carmella is great. That is why we we’re a team! She wants to be ‘the most beautiful woman in all of WWE,’ but I want to be Queen.” Ryan follows up by asking Vega if it’ll be hard to put friendship aside during the match against Carmella, and Zelina says “it makes things a little bit complicated, but we see eye to eye on business being first. I’ve been practicing my Queen waive!” Kayla jumps back in, and asks Zelina how her second stint with WWE will be different from her first one. Zelina thinks about it for a moment, before telling viewers “I think this time it will be different because I’m focused on me. I have different alliances, and new strategies, so you better watch out. I’m coming back with a whole new fire.” Kayla thanks Zelina for her time, and the interviews are officially over.
⁃ Ryan, Matt, and Kayla hype tomorrow’s episode of NXT UK, until Kayla sends the show off air.
