WWE The Bump (2/2)

-The Bump crew share their thoughts on the latest happenings from all of WWE’s brands, until the first guest arrives.
Summer Rae
After making her return to WWE in Saturday’s Women’s Royal Rumble match, Summer Rae is here to offer up her thoughts on the incredible evening. Kayla kicks off the interview by asking Summer Rae how it felt to return to WWE, after five years away from the brand. Summer Rae explains “It just was surreal. It kinda felt like I didn’t leave ever. It felt natural, it felt right. It was great to see my friends backstage, and feel the energy of the crowd."Summer Rae goes on to say "People always ask what I miss, and it’s the fans, but it’s more importantly the energy out there. WWE has the best fans in the world!” Kayla follows up by asking Summer Rae about the post-match affects of the Royal Rumble, and Summer Rae says “I feel really good! I went to the chiropractor the day after, and I told him that I feel good. It was good to see people, and it was fun to slap Natalya in the face.” Matt takes Summer Rae back to the initial announcement of her return, and he talks about the “positive reaction” from the WWE Universe. Summer Rae offers up her thoughts on the reactions, telling viewers “you never know how fans will react, or if they will even care... I got a call just before SmackDown started that night, and I was super overwhelmed by the response. It was exciting, and I hate that it wasn’t a surprise, but you can never really keep things as a true surprise now.” Ryan pops in with one last question, and he wonders if Summer Rae has “unfinished business” with Natalya. Summer Rae wastes no time answering, and says “of course! I mean she technically eliminated me, but Charlotte did the dirty work...” Summer Rae continues “Maybe that should be her new gimmick, hiding behind Champion’s... like she hides behind her uncle!” Summer Rae closes by saying “She started it! I have never had Nattie’s name in my mouth. I’m never concerned about her, she’s concerned about me.” Kayla thanks Summer Rae for stopping by, and it’s time for the next segment.
-Kayla announces the lineup for next week’s episode of The Bump, and welcomes on today’s final guest.
Bianca Belair
Fresh off of the heels of her amazing performance in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Bianca Belair joins The Bump crew via Zoom, and she has a few comments for everyone. Matt begins by summarizing Belair’s record breaking performances in Royal Rumble matches, and Bianca says “for me, I’m an overachiever. I’ve entered the match early every year, and I know everyone wants a later number, but I want to be number one. I want to prove over and over that I’m the best. I want to do more, because I’m never satisfied.” Ryan chimes in, and he asks Bianca about her first time interacting with the winner of the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey. Bianca tells Ryan “hearing her music hit, it was mixed emotions. You see her, and you’re like ‘wow’. But at the same time it was like hold up now, what are you doing here? So there were really mixed emotions.” Bianca experiences a few technical difficulties, while The Bump crew stalls, until Belair finally pops back in. Kayla changes gears with a question about Black History Month, and she wants to know how much the month means to Belair. Bianca explains “all I can say is that it’s an amazing month. We celebrate Black history all year around, but it’s great to have a month that’s a celebration of achievements and more.” Belair goes on to say “Don’t just go to the history books, ask your mom, ask your grandparents about the history, and use this month to explore.” Bianca makes her exit from the show, and the final interview of the day is in the books.
-Ryan and Matt hype tomorrow’s edition of NXT UK, and The Bump fades to black.
That’s all for this week’s episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day!
