Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the rajah.com recap of WWE’s The Bump.
The latest episode of The Bump featured an appearance from a WWE Warrior Award winner, as well as the current United States Champion. Check it out:
WWE’s The Bump (2/23)
-Kayla, Matt, and Ryan welcome the viewers onboard, and Kayla gives a quick rundown of todays lineup.
-The Bump crew share their thoughts on all of the latest action in WWE, until the first guest arrives.
Titus O’Neil
The current WWE Global Ambassador joins The Bump crew, and Matt begins by asking Titus for his thoughts on WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Titus says “many people will be gunning for Brock, which is dangerous right now. On March 5th, in Madison Square Garden, Brock will have a match, and some brave soul will step up to the plate.” Matt changes gears, and asks Titus about the upcoming Raw Women’s Championship clash between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. O’Neil shares his thoughts on the WrestleMania showdown, stating “obviously there were mixed emotions about the return of Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, but this is an opportunity for Bianca to put a staple on her career.” The hosts shift their attention to the alliance between The Miz and Logan Paul, and Titus tells viewers “Logan is no stranger to WWE. Last time he came, Kevin Owens sent him home with a nice message.” Titus goes on to say “It will be nice to have a guy with his social media presence at WrestleMania, and he’ll be going against one of the biggest names in wrestling history. I’m anxious to see if Logan can do as well as Bad Bunny did.” Matt invites Titus to stick around, and the show moves on to the next segment.
-After a special appearance from NFL star Micah Parsons, the final guest makes his presence felt.
Damian Priest
Ahead of his United States Championship defense on Monday Night Raw, Damian Priest joins The Bump crew. Matt fires away with questions, and asks Damian how he’s feeling, coking off the heels of his victory over Shelton Benjamin. Damian says “I feel great, I’m the champ!” Ryan enters the chat, and he asks Damian for his initial thoughts on his future challenger, Finn Balor. Damian explains “it was a mix of emotions. It was like wow, I’m getting what I asked for. There was excitement, and shock. I’m looking forward to this, man.” Ryan follows up by talking about past collisions between Damian and Finn, and he wonders what Priest may have learned from those matches. Damian tells viewers “I know after I faced him at In Your House, my course changed direction. I may not be sitting here if it wasn’t for that match! Damian Priest is that much better because of him. It means the world to me to face him, but I’m not here to be a fanboy. I’m here to defend my Championship.” The hosts thank Damian for his time, and the final interview of the day is in the books.
-Matt and Ryan hype tomorrows episode of NXT UK, until The Bump fades to blacks.
