Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the rajah.com recap of WWE’s The Bump.
The latest episode of The Bump featured an appearance from Rhea Ripley, as well as Austin Theory. Check it out:
WWE’s The Bump (3/2)
-Kayla, Matt, and Ryan welcome the viewers onboard, and Kayla gives a quick rundown of todays lineup.
-The Bump crew share their thoughts on all of the latest action in WWE, until the first guest arrives.
Rhea Ripley
Current Monday Night Raw Superstar Rhea Ripley joins The Bump crew in-studio for the first time, and Ryan fires away with questions. Ryan takes Rhea back to Monday night, where Rhea Ripley had a front row seat for Bianca Belair’s vicious attack on Becky Lynch. Rhea responds to a clip of the moment, and says “it brought back memories. I didn’t quite notice what happened at first, but then I was looking at Becky like, ‘ah, you got whipped’!” Kayla turns her attention to Rhea, and asks Ripley how it felt to get her hands on the Raw Women’s Champion on Monday. Rhea explains “I haven’t been able to step in the ring with Becky since NXT, so I was like ‘this is my one chance to prove to her and everyone that I’m a threat’.” Matt reflects on the women’s Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia, and he wants to know how Rhea’s experience in the brutal contest went. Ripley tells viewers “the crowd was great, so wild! I loved the brutality, so being in that structure, I was having the best time of my life. I wish I could’ve gotten a bit more brutal.” Matt invites Rhea to stick around, and the show moves on to the next segment.
-After a special appearance from Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsay Jacobellis, the final guest makes his presence felt.
Austin Theory
Austin Theory joins The Bump crew via Zoom, and he’s upset about his introduction. After a brief back and fourth with the hosts, Kayla asks Austin about Vince McMahon’s upcoming appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. Austin says “Mr. McMahon has shown what he can do over the years, and him showing up there, I feel like anything can happen. It is very interesting to see what’s going to happen.” Matt follows up by asking Theory how he’s feeling, after competing in the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia. Austin explains “you know what? I’m doing great actually!” Matt continues to ask Austin about Austin's performance in the match, and he wonders how Theory felt after the massive F-5 from Brock Lesnar. Austin tells viewers “this was the scariest moment of my life. Who is charge of showing these photos? I feel so disrespected right now. Brock Lesnar threw me off of a pod, and you’re asking me how I feel…” The hosts thank Austin for his time, and the final interview of the day is in the books.
-Matt and Ryan hype tomorrows episode of NXT UK, until The Bump fades to blacks.
