WWE The Bump (4/13)
-Kayla, Matt, and Ryan welcome the viewers onboard, and Kayla gives a rundown of today’s lineup.
-The Bump crew share their thoughts on the latest happenings from all of WWE’s brands, until the first guest arrives.
Ricochet
Coming off of the heels of a recent title defense against Angel and Humberto, Ricochet joins The Bump crew via zoom, and the first interview of the day is underway. Kayla begins by asking the reigning champion how he’s feeling at the moment, and Ricochet explains “I’m actually doing better than I have in a long time. I just had last Friday off, and I spent time with my son for the first time in a month or two. I’ve had time to get some lingering injuries out of the way, so I’m feeling great.” Kayla follows up by asking Ricochet about his opponent on Friday’s Smackdown, “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal, so Ricochet says “Mahal on Twitter was saying he wants Ricochet, and I said ‘bring it, bro’, so WWE officials set up this match.” Ricochet goes on to say “Jinder has his own credentials, and he’s shown that he can do some things. You also have Shanky behind him, and you never know what Shanky is gonna do.” Matt enters the chat, and he wonders how Ricochet will adjust his game plan, in order to defeat a larger opponent. Ricochet tells Matt “at least for me, specifically, I use my speed and my endurance. That’s the thing that gets me through these matches. I have to outlast him. The bigger man will get tired, his performance will get hindered, and he will make a mistake. That’s when I capitalize every single time.” Ryan jumps in, and he covers the list of reigning Champions on Smackdown, which includes Ricochet, Sasha Banks & Naomi, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, and The Uso’s. Ricochet shares his feelings on being a part of the list, telling viewers “I couldn’t even be more honored. This group we have now, to be a part of this, it’s crazy. I think it’s a really strong group of Champions, and you won’t find a roster with a better group of Champions.” Kayla thanks Ricochet for stopping by, and it’s time for the next segment.
-Matt and Ryan preview Friday’s episode of Smackdown, until Kayla welcomes on the final guest.
Johnny Knoxville
Just days after his massive WrestleMania 38 victory over Sami Zayn, Johnny Knoxville joins The Bump crew, and Kayla Braxton is waiting with the first question. Kayla begins by asking Johnny about the match, and Knoxville explains “it’s all about having fun, and putting on an exciting match, because my wrestling skills aren’t the best. So I figured a No Holds Barred match could really help, and really bring in alot of props, which would make it fun.” Kayla covers all of Johnny’s recent WWE appearances, and takes Knoxville back to Royal Rumble weekend, where Brock Lesnar slammed Jackass co-star WeeMan through a dinner table. Johnny tells viewers “I became the biggest Brock Lesnar fan in that moment. I fell to my knees, and I was hugging strangers.” Knoxville goes on to say “it was an amazing moment at the Four Seasons.” Kayla asks Johnny one last question, and she wonders if anyone reached out to Knoxville, once they saw him on WWE television. Johnny explains “oh, so many people came out of the closet going ‘oh you’re on WrestleMania’? It made me so happy that so many people are such big fans.” Kayla thanks for Johnny for stopping by, and The Bump crew moves on.
-After the interview, Kayla announces the lineup for Wednesday’s episode of The Bump, and it’s time for the final guest.
Bianca Belair
After a surprising challenger stepped out of the shadows on Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair has a few words for Kayla and company. Kayla fires away with questions, and asks Bianca if April has been “the best month ever" for Bianca. The Raw Women's Champion tells Kayla “definitely one of the best months ever! It’s been a fun, wild month, up until Raw, but yeah it’s been a great month.” Matt enters the chat, and he wants to know how Bianca feels about Sonya Deville's surprise attack on Raw. Bianca explains “watching it makes me sick. I thought I would face the best that Raw has to offer, but never did I think Sonya Deville. She abused her power. While she’s been making matches and wearing jackets, I’ve been making moments and wearing titles.” Matt and Kayla thank Bianca for the interview, and the final interview of the day is in the books.
-Ryan and Matt plug Thursday’s episode of NXT 2.0, until The Bump fades to black.
That’s all for today’s episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day!
