WWE The Bump (4/20)
-Kayla, Matt, and Ryan welcome the viewers onboard, and Kayla gives a rundown of today’s lineup.
-The Bump crew share their thoughts on Smackdown and Monday Night Raw, and NXT 2.0 until Riddle makes his way into the studio.
Riddle
Ahead of a massive Tag Team Championship unification match at WrestleMania Backlash, Riddle joins The Bump crew, who is ready to ask “The Original Bro” a few questions. Kayla kicks off the first interview by asking Riddle about Randy Orton, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut. Riddle says… nothing, because he loses his Zoom connection… After the production crew fixes the technical errors, Kayla asks Riddle to share his favorite memories of Randy Orton. Riddle shares one of his favorites, stating “one match that stands out in particular is his match against Cactus Jack. He got thrown off of the stage, overcame the odds, and still won the match. That’s when I knew, ‘this guy gets it’.” Kayla follows up by asking Riddle about his partnership with Randy, and she wonders how Riddle has changed Orton in recent times. Riddle explains “you know, love isn’t easy. You’re not gonna get what you want right out of the gate, but I’ve earned Randy’s respect. When Randy has a down moment, I try to bring him up. When I have a down moment, which is rare, Randy brings me up. We just feel each other’s energy!” Matt enters the chat, and he gives a brief recap of Randy Orton’s scathing promo on Smackdown. Riddle reflects on Orton’s message to The Uso’s, telling viewers “you know, I feel like the intensity was there. We don’t wanna go getting Randy antsy in the pantsy. Randy is cool, but he’s a pretty intense dude, and The Uso’s brought it out of him.” Kayla thanks Riddle for stopping by, and the interview comes to a close.
-Matt and Ryan preview the upcoming episode of Smackdown, until Kayla welcomes on the Final guest.
Randy Orton
The man of the hour is with The Bump crew, and Kayla begins asks Randy questions right away. Kayla wonders if Randy has any kind words for his fans, and Orton says “if I could say anything to the fans of the last 20 years, I wouldn’t have had this career without them. If it wasn’t for them, there would be no Randy Orton.” Orton goes on to say “thank you, and continue on this journey with me. I have a ways to go before I hang up those boots.” Matt jumps in, and he wonders if Orton has a message for The Uso’s, ahead of their title unification bout. Randy explains “I remember when they were teenagers backstage with their dad. Now, I called it like it was on Friday. They are a couple of assholes, and we have to put them in their place.” Kayla brings the interview to a close, but not without asking Randy for his thoughts on Riddle. Orton tells viewers “there’s so many things that I like about Riddle, but what I like the most is how he’s allowed me to enjoy what I do for a living even more. Work is work, and work is awesome, but we are more than just friends at work.“ The Bump crew thank’s Randy for stopping by, and it’s time for the next segment.
-Ryan and Matt hype tomorrow’s edition of NXT UK, and The Bump fades to black.
That’s all for this week’s episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day!
