Coming off of the heels of her return to WWE at SummerSlam, Dakota Kai has a bit of explaining to do. Kayla kicks off the interview by asking Dakota how she’s feeling today, and Kai explains “honestly, it still feels like a whirlwind to me. It all happened so last minute. Everything that has happened since Saturday has been amazing.” Kayla keeps the focus on Saturday, and she asks Dakota to walk the viewers through the events that unfolded at SummerSlam. Kai tells viewers “you know, it was like an out of body experience. When I was walking down the ramp, I had a very short window where I knew this would happen, so I was still trying to accept what was happening. It was like ‘what’s happening right now’?” Matt enters the chat, and he wants to know more about the recent developments between the trio of herself, IYO SKY, and Bayley. Dakota says “so, Bayley and I have been talking about something like this for a long time. We wanted it for years at this point, so now that its happening, this is insane. IYO is one of the best in the world, so to be beside these two women is insane. You don’t think it will happen, but that fact that it has, yeah, its crazy.” Matt follows up by asking Dakota about her plans with the group, and Kai states “just like Bayley said, we’ve waited a long time for this. We want to make a mark in this division, and with Bayley leading the forefront, I think alot of change is about to happen.” Kayla brings the interview to a close, and the show rolls on to the next segment.
-Matt and Ryan preview the upcoming episode of Smackdown, until Kayla welcomes on the next guest.
Following last week’s WWE tryout in Nashville, NBA All-Star Dwight Howard joins The Bump crew, and he has a few comments for the WWE Universe. Kayla welcomes Dwight to the show for the first time, and she wonders how the big man is feeling this afternoon. Howard explains “I am so amazing. Thank you for having me on the show today, and I really appreciate you!” Kayla moves things forward, and she wants to know how Dwight is feeling, after his WWE experience in Nashville. Howard tells viewers “oh I am still on high from the whole event. Meeting some of my favorite wrestlers, and doing promotional things, talking to Triple H and The Undertaker. It was amazing. It’s been a dream of mine for my whole life, and I’m so thankful for them allowing me to be in their presence. It was such an amazing time.” Matt joins the fun, and he wonders how Dwight’s opportunity to tryout for WWE even happen. Howard tells Matt “Titus O’Neil and myself are close friends, and I told him I want to wrestle one day. I’ve always wanted to be on the big stage, and I have all the games, and I just want an opportunity. So Titus invited me to Nashville, I drove up, and I showed everyone how serious I am about WWE. It was an amazing experience.” D12 makes his exit from the show, and the next guest is on-deck.
-Ryan and Matt hype tomorrow’s edition of NXT UK, until the final guest enters the studio.
WWE Hall Of Famer JBL joins the show via zoom, and the final interview of the day is underway! Kayla fires away with questions, and she wants to know how JBL’s SummerSlam experience went. Bradshaw explains “I’ve never seen anything like Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns. Brock is the biggest freak we’ve had in this business, and he’s such an entertaining character. This match was so great, and I wish they could do it next premium live event.” Kayla shifts the attention to the match that kicked off SummerSlam, and she wants to know how JBL feels about the new trio of Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai. The wrestling god tells viewers “I think what Bayley is bringing in is awesome. We have one of the greatest women’s rosters ever, and Bianca Belair is a once in a generation talent.” Matt chimes in, and asks JBL to share his thoughts on the current state of the United States Championship. JBL tells viewers “chaos brings ladders, and there’s some turmoil in WWE, so someone is gonna rise out of this that you didn’t expect. I think Ciampa has all of the talent in the world, and he could benefit from all of this dysfunction, and become the United States Champion.” The Bump crew thanks JBL for his time, and the final interview is in the books!
That’s all for this week’s episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day!
