WWE's biggest PPV of the summer and one of the company's big four PPVs SummerSlam will still not take place for another three months, but a date as well as location has already been revealed. Based on an earlier report, it was revealed that SummerSlam is set to take place on Sunday, August 22 and several locations are being discussed as a potential venue for SummerSlam.
Places such as Phoenix, Arizona or somewhere in the Texas area have been mentioned as possible venues for the event. Dave Meltzer even reported that WWE was considering holding the show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In an update provided by Fightful Select, there have been reports that there have been several cities and locations discussed, but internally Las Vegas seems to be first on the list. One of the venues or arenas being looked at as a possible site for SummerSlam in Vegas is the Allegiant Stadium, where the Raiders play, but it should be noted that WWE wants to hold the show at an outdoor venue, so the only problem with the Allegiant Stadium is that the roof doesn’t open. There is still a possibility of the WWE deciding on a different location or even another stadium in the state of Nevada.
As soon as more updates are available, it will be provided.
