-- Samoa Joe is now considered to be a “permanent” member of the WWE Raw announcing team, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Joe, who is still not cleared to return from his latest concussion, is considered to be the replacement for Jerry Lawler, but could ultimately end up back in the ring depending on how his medical recovery goes. The option also exists for Joe to primarily announce and then shoot angles to wrestle based on the announcing or he could end up doing both. The last option of course is that WWE feels there are “depth issues” on the roster, they would bring him back as a full-time wrestler once he is cleared. With all that said, moving forward for now, WWE considers him on the announce team full-time.
