WWE Didn't Want Heyman or Bischoff With AEW; News on Gallows, Anderson & Styles

— The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that part of the reason WWE decided to appoint Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to new prominent roles within the company was to lock them up to contracts - the idea being that either of them could have provided experience and help to rival AEW.

— As noted before, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have signed new contracts with WWE. They are lucrative long term deals - five years in length worth upwards of $500,000 annually each - and the duo is pegged to be featured more prominently with AJ Styles. For those wondering, Styles’ heel turn and reunion with Gallows & Anderson was said to be scripted in advance of Paul Heyman coming into power.
