WWE Files Trademark For The Term “Tribal Heir”

WWE filed a new trademark for the term “Tribal Heir” on Thursday, November 6th. This trademark is intended for entertainment services.

While the specific use of the term “Tribal Heir” has not been announced, this is not the first time WWE has sought to trademark it. They previously filed for the same trademark in December 2023, shortly after Roman Reigns referred to Solo Sikoa as his heir. This suggests a potential connection to that storyline.

However, the storyline did not progress as expected. Instead, Sikoa took control and created his own version of the Bloodline after Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes in a Bloodline Rules Match at WrestleMania XL Night Two, resulting in Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman being removed from the group.

Recently, Roman Reigns regained the prestigious Ula Fala Championship on the Monday Night RAW debut on Netflix this past January by defeating Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match. Following this loss, Sikoa restructured his faction, MFT, by expelling Jacob Fatu and adding JC Mateo and Talla Tonga to the group.

Below is the description submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO):
