Outside of that, we don't have much to work with so look at it this way--we'll all be surprised! It's like Christmas, if done by Vince McMahon!

WWE Friday Night SmackDown Live Results (2/19/2021) - ThunderDome II (Tropicana Field), St. Petersburg, FL
Show Opener: Edge is Here!
We're welcomed by Michael Cole & Corey Graves to the ThunderDome! Edge immediately comes out, soaking up the praise from the digital crowd as he paces in the ring. "It is good to be back on SmackDown and we've the Elimination Chamber this Sunday....I have a lot of decisions to make." He reminds us that McIntyre's defending his title in the Elimination Chamber, whereas Roman is playing the smart card--he's defending at the Elimination Chamber, against whomever won the Elimination Chamber match and will be exhausted. Edge states that there's 13 possibilities for outcomes, and he's not going to flap his lips or head about it as he's just going to let the dust settle and pick.
In the Ring: Roman Reigns w/ Jey Uso & Paul Heyman and Edge
Roman begins his lengthy walk down the ramp. To buy him time, Michael Cole explains the Elimination Chamber match for those of us who didn't know how it works. Many, many minutes later, Reigns & Co. enters the ring, his Universal Championship over his arm. Heyman and Uso join Roman in the ring. Reigns holds his title up high to the haters in the digital audience and a piped-in "you suck!" chant starts at he gets a mic. Roman speaks. "You don't have thirteen to choose from, because there's only one. And the one is a four-time, could've been a five time, about to be a six-time WrestleMania main event. So you can pick a main eventer. Or you can pick the main event." Edge speaks now, telling Roman that Edge saw what Reigns said last week when Reigns said that Edge had fear in his eyes. Edge goes on to say that Reigns needs Edge to be the main event, not the other way around. Edge tells Roman that when he looks in Roman's eyes, he sees a lack of confidence. He tells Roman that he sees a talented, wise young man who has a long career ahead of him. Edge tells Roman that Edge hasn't even begun to mess with him, and implores Roman to think about it long and hard--does he want Edge going after the dents in his armor? Out come Sami Zayn and camera crew!
Sami babbles on, per the usual, about conspiracies. He's upset that Edge and Roman Reigns don't respect his ability. Zayn accuses management of trying to keep him out of the Elimination Chamber, but Zayn pounded his way in. He tells Edge that he's not the master manipulator now, Zayn is. He tells Reigns he respects him as the Tribal Chief, but Zayn is the people's liberator. He demands his camera crew come over and get a view of him standing in the ring, pointing at the WrestleMania sign. Jey Uso superkicks Zayn, knocking him out. Reigns hands his mic and belt to Heyman, clasps his hands behind his back and walks up to Edge. We can't hear what's being said but I'm sure it's a knock-knock joke. Reigns is upset that he's no bugaboo to Edge, and decides he's had enough of this malarkey. Reigns leads his entourage up the ramp as Cole and Graves, again, recap the Elimination Chamber.
Match: Apollo Crews vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Big E, the current Intercontinental Champion, makes his way to the ringside area. He'll be joining commentary for this match, which comes up after the break! When we return, we're treated to a plethora of recaps. We see Big E sitting on a white loveseat, with a mini-fridge next to him and a TV tray set up, complete with TV a dinner! Nakamura makes his way out first. We cut to the back where Kayla Braxton interviews Apollo. The dastardly Crews is insulted that Big E told him last week by telling him to go back to catering and collect a check. Crews says he's no charity case and goes on with his usual shenanigans before finally heading out to the ring. The bell rings and both men start off. Nakamura takes a brief control early on before Apollo drops Nakamura with a dropkick! Nakamura falls to the outside. Crews attacks Nakamura outside and swings Shinsuke into the sofa and Big E. Big E has had enough of Crews' chicanery and hops up, exchanging words with Crews as we go to break.
Back from the break, Crews is still in control. Big E sits on the loveseat next to the announcer's table and watches. Shinsuke's had enough of Apollo's debauchery and fights back, leveling the powerhouse with a series of kicks. Crews stumbles and rests against the ropes. Shinsuke charges him, slides between Crews' legs and under them, dropping Crews hard. Big E mentions he's tired of wasting time talking about Crews. Crews starts to fight back in the ring, hitting a step-up Enziguri. He looks for the Military Press but Nakamura grabs the arm and rolls Crews up, picking up the win!
Your Winner, Shinsuke Nakamura!
After the Match
Crews, unlike the victorious Nakamura, is not feeling very supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Crews attacks Nakamura in the ring and beats him outside. Crews grabs the steel steps, but Big E gets in between them. Big E tells Crews repeatedly to walk, it's done, and put down the steps. As Crews comes over to assist a ref in picking up Nakamura, Crews picks up the steps and drives them into both Big E and Nakamura. He then throws Nakamura over the barricade. Crews squats over Big E and tells him that "it's not over 'til I say its over." Crews, whose soul is surely in a state of desolation, continues his assault on Crews. When the ref comes up to talk, Crews snaps at the ref, demanding he stay back. Crews takes the steel steps into the ring. The ref gets in and pleads with Crews. Big E rolls to the outside. The ref again pleads with Crews to put the steps down. "You want 'em down?" Crews smirks and drops the stairs over the ropes, where they crash down on Big E who was laying on the floor. Medical staff come to check on the IC champ as we go to break! We see clips from the commercials in which medical staff attend to Big E. As medic stroll E on a gurney up the ring, out comes...
In the Ring: Seth Rollins
With a return to his original music, the archeduc Seth Rollins comes out! Rollins gets on the mic at the top of the ramp and tells us that he can understand how Big E must feel after being attacked by that dastardly Apollo Crews. Seth says he's been betrayed by his friends, and we get clips of his return last week. The ring was surrounded by the entire roster, even your uncle, and Seth starts off talking about how his new baby girl has changed his life in ways he could never dream of. He seemed to be seeing the light...then states he's the great leader that SmackDown needs. The SmackDown roster unequivocally rejected his offer and went to the back. Afterwards, Rollins saw Cesaro standing behind and, when Cesaro didn't want anything to do with Rollins, the Archeduc attacked Cesaro! He pounded on Cesaro while screaming at him until Daniel Bryan made the save.
We return to Rollins up the ramp. He has a letter from his attorneys to WWE management. He states that his big moment was ruined by a bunch of cowards and losers who want to divide Rollins' "Millions and millions and millions and millions of us out there that have already embraced the vision for a better tomorrow, a better SmackDown!" He then goes on to say that the biggest loser out of "all of them" is Cesaro. Rollins wanted a big homecoming but instead, Cesaro disrespected Rollins. Rollins reminds us that he attacked Cesaro and states it wasn't on his hands because as far as Rollins is concerned, he had it coming. Rollins then threatens anyone who wants to follow in Cesaro's footsteps, telling everyone to embrace the vision or face the dystopian future that is a SmackDown without their Savior.
Backstage with Kevin Owens and Edge
Edge walks up to Owens and they shake hands. Edge says that he really appreciates that when Kevin Owens gets knocked down, he gets up again, no one's ever gonna keep him down! Owens thanks Edge for his words, but the only thing he can think about is the Chamber on Sunday, winning the Chamber, beating Roman later that night. He's tired of Roman's cronies always costing him his shot. Edge wishes Owens luck and says he'd love to face him at 'Mania, and he means it.
Backstage with Sonya Deville, Adam Pearce, Big E, etc.
We get a very short view in the back as Deville and Pearce escort medical professionals as they wheel Big E around in the bag. We go to break!
Tag Team Match: the Riott Squad vs Natalya & Tamina
We return from break with the match set up. Ruby starts off against the powerhouse giant that is Tamina. Tamina easily shrugs off Ruby's attack and headbutts Ruby. Riott tags in Liv Morgan. Morgan comes in and fires off a series of kicks. Tamina hoists her up and Morgan tries to hit a sunset flip. Morgan again attempts to fight back, dodging a blow by doing, as Cole called it, a "Matrix-type maneuver" in which she bends back. Unfortunately, Tamina is able to pick her up and again hoists her up. Tamina drops Liv after catching her mid-springboard with a huge fist, and tags in Natalya. Liv tags in Riott. Riott takes it to Natalya, easily countering the technical Natalya. Liv Morgan is tagged in and plants Natalya down. Suddenly, Billie Kay comes out and, again, distracts Liv Morgan. Morgan is attacked and tags in Ruby, but Natalya tags in Tamina. Tamina slams Ruby and picks up the win. After the match, Kay gets in the ring with Tamina and Natalya, celebrating until Tamina levels her, too. Short, short match.
Your Winners, Natalya & Tamina!
Backstage with King Corbin and Edge
Edge and Corbin exchange words. Corbin brags about his suit, then brags about his $39,000 watch. Edge says he's got a time piece, too, and pulls out his cell phone. He shows Corbin the time, and says it even takes photos and snaps one of Corbin. We end the segment with Corbin heading off. Up next: Ding Dong, Hello!
Ding Dong, Hello!: With Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
We're back from break and the ring is already set up. Michael Cole's biggest fan, Bayley, opens her show by ringing a doorbell and walking through the door set up in the ring. She yells off mic at Cole and is wearing...a unique outfit and glasses. She welcomes us to the second--that's dos, for Michael Cole--the dos episode of her talk show! She wants to welcome the Women's Tag Team Champions. A doorbell rings and she opens the door, and behind it are Nia and Shayna. It takes both women a moment to figure out who goes through the door first. Bayley tells them that as a former women's tag champ, she knows how exausting it can be to be on three brands. Nia is surprised that Bayley isn't upset that she took her tag title. Bayley tells us that she wants to thank them, because it freed her up to take out Sasha Banks. Jax comments that it was the best thing Bayley could do, because Banks is overrated. Baszler adds that Bianca's bad, always wanting to be the -EST of something. Jax jumps back in but says Banks is worse, because she walks around acting all pretty. Reginald the Sommelier walks out, asking "excuse me" in French. He walks down to the ring and tells us that he can't stand by while they denigrate the name of Sasha Banks. He compliments Banks as he walks to, and enters, the ring. Bayley is upset that he didn't use the door. Jax and Baszler move in, pinning him in a corner. Reginald tells them he's just letting them know that Banks is best, and if she wanted her tag titles back, they'd be out of luck. Sasha Banks comes out next! Bayley screams "use the door, idiot! Use the door! Use the door!" Banks tells Reginald, "You don't ever speak for me." She addresses Jax and Baszler and reminds them that she's the Boss, and Bianca will choose her so they can main event. Bianca Belair come out. She tells everyone she'll get to them in a moment, but first she wants to tell Reginald she's no "side piece." Belair then goes on to tell Banks that if she chooses her for WrestleMania, Belair will win. Reginald then interrupts and suggests that Belair and Banks are on the same team, and recommends a six-man tag match between Belair, Banks & Reginald against Baszler, Bayley & Jax. We go to break as everyone yells at Reginald.
Six-Person Intergender Tag Match: SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair and Reginald the Sommelier vs Bayley and Women's Tag Team Champions Big & Nasty
Belair starts with Baszler when we return from break. Belair locks up Shayna from behind, easily controlling her opponent before knocking her down with a clothesline. Belair wraps up Baszler by the head and tags in Banks. Belair holds Baszler's arms behind her. Belair lifts Baszler up high, then drops her forward--and straight into a kick by Banks! Reginald flips over the ropes to celebrate and they yell at him to get out. This distraction allows Baszler to make a tag. Bayley, still in her street clothes, isolates Banks in the corner and stomps at her. They miss blipping her calling Banks a "f*cking idiot!" Baszler back in, using working holds to wear down the women's champ. Jax is tagged in. Baszler whips Banks to Jax, who hits a big sidewalk slam. Jax loses control, so Bayley streaks across the ring and slides out before the ref warns her, and rips Belair's legs out from under her! Bayley runs back around. Banks is forced to tag in Reginald. Reginald ties up with Jax as she enters. She shoves him into the corner. Jax yells at him that she's not cheap. She slams him, then drops him to the ground. Jax stomps on Reginald and goes for a Leg Drop, but Reginald moves! Reginald crawls over to the corner. We see Banks & Belair beating the tar out of Baszler at ringside! Jax looks on with concern at her partner. Bayley's still down at ringside, apparently. Reginald sneaks up behind Jax but she catches him, holding him and turning. Reginald picks up the win, however, when he's aided by a double-dropkick from Belair and Banks which force Jax to fall back, Reginald on top, and picking up the win!
Your Winners, Reginald, Sasha Banks, and Bianca Belair!
Backstage with Kayla Braxton, Edge and Cesaro
Kayla asks Cesaro about the attack from Rollins earlier tonight. Cesaro says that Seth is the same asshat who left, and Cesaro will deal with him later. His focus is the six-man tag match tonight and the Elimination Chamber this Sunday. Edge tells Cesaro it'd be an honor to face him at WrestleMania. We cut to the ThunderDome.
Tag Team Match: the Mysterios vs the Alpha Academy
The Mysterios come out as we go to commercial. When we return, the Mysterios are in the ring and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions are on commentary, drinking from red solo cups. Cole asks them about it, to which Ziggler responds "the Street Profits? The ones in our rearview mirror?" Out next come the Alpha Academy, Chad Gable and Otis. Dolph is wearing a snazzy white/silver leather jacket. Gable starts with Dom and wraps him up from behind. Gable easily takes the youngster down. Gable continues to manipulate a waist hold but Dom escapes. Gable tags in Otis, who charges in and runs over Dom. Rey is tagged in and flies off the top onto Otis! Mysterio runs and springboards off the middle rope, looking for a flying crossbody. Otis catches him and powerslams him down hard! Otis tags in Gable. Gable stops Otis to give him instructions. He tells Otis to run off the ropes and do a big splash. The ref is counting and, as Otis leaps, the ref calls for the bell.
Your Winners by Disqualification, the Mysterios!
After the Match
Gable is still excited and raises Otis' arm. Gable drags Rey into the corner and has Otis go up to the top rope. The 330lb big man dives off the second rope, splashing hard on Rey. The crowd boos as the Alpha Academy celebrate in the ring.
Backstage with Daniel Bryan and Edge
Edge walks up on Bryan, who's warming up for the tag match main event. Edge tells Bryan that he respects Bryan for fighting to get his career back, just like Edge. They exchange kind words, with Bryan telling Edge that if Bryan wins the title this Sunday, Edge should choose him. Edge says some would call that a dream match, and he'll think it over. He walks off and we head to break--main event six-man tag is up next!
Ringside w/ the Mysterios
We see Dom helping his father up at ringside. Otis had the match won with a big powerslam on Rey, but Gable caused the DQ by both men being in the ring too long. Rey gingerly holds his ribs and wheezes as he heads up the ramp.
Backstage with Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, and Cesaro
Bryan comments about hoping to not catch a Stunner tonight. He and Cesaro joke about all the times Owens betrayed people. Bryan comments on different people Owens has turned on, including a big name that he can't quite remember....something about a list. Owens jumps in and tells them that he really wants to win this match, so they don't have to worry about a Stunner tonight. But Sunday, they will need to worry about a Stunner. Or two. Or maybe three or four! Cesaro shrugs and adds, "at least he's honest." Bryan questions if he is.
Backstage with Carmella and Reginald
Carmella is in her dressing room in a fancy dress (just watch it) and asks Reginald where he's been. She then warns him about his odd relationship with Sasha Banks. She think drinks the wine he gives her and spits it out, yelling at him for bringing her crappy wine.
Six-Man Tag Team Main Event Match: Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, & Cesaro take on Jey Uso, Sami Zayn & King Corbin
Sami Zayn, King Corbin and Jey Uso each make their way out individually to a chorus of boos. Zayn and Uso exchange words off camera and circle a bit. Suddenly, Edge comes out! He'll join on commentary. We go to another commercial break. When we return, Edge is on commentary. Out come Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Kevin Owens individually. Sami Zayn's documentary crew are still at ringside. Cole again reminds us that the winner of the Elimination Chamber will get a shot at Roman Reigns on the spot. Edge and Graves buy us time as Bryan and Uso set up. The bell rings and we start. Uso and Bryan lock up, with Uso pushing Bryan into the corner. Uso beats DB in the corner as the ref warns him. DB whips Uso into the corner and delivers a few kicks of his own. DB takes Uso over and tags in Cesaro, and both men work together to slam Uso down. Corbin tags in, eyes Cesaro, then backs up and tags in Sami Zayn. Cesaro holds Zayn's arms and DB tags in, then kicks the restrained Zayn in the gut. DB hits Zayn with a few strikes until both men collide in the middle of the ring. Zayn takes charge, using Bryan's arm to tug him into knee strikes. Zayn tags in Corbin. Corbin pulls Bryan up and punches him, then chokes him on the middle rope as the ref counts and warns him.
On commentary, Edge passionately states that he didn't walk away ten years ago for another gig, he had to fight to be back and he's eager to have his WrestleMania moment. In the ring, Zayn and Corbin alternate tags to work over DB. Bryan escapes and tags in Cesaro. Cesaro hits the ring hot, hitting big European uppercuts to Zayn in two different corners. Zayn rolls out and yells at Uso and Corbin about not having his back. The ref continues to count. Zayn is slung into the ring by his own partner! Cesaro hits the King of Swing on Zayn for about twenty seconds, then catapults him into the corner! Corbin makes the tag. Cesaro picks the legs out from Corbin and hits the King of Swing on Corbin! Cesaro swings him around a few times before dropping him and falling to his butt in the corner. We head to break!
Back from the break and Cesaro is back to swinging Corbin! Cesaro drops Corbin and looks for a Sharpshooter, but Corbin crawls back enough to tag in Jey Uso. Uso and Cesaro brawl to the outside. Uso whips Cesaro hard across the announcer's table. The ref continues to count. At eight, Uso whips Cesaro into the ring. Paul Heyman has now joined commentary. In the ring, Uso dropkicks Cesaro. Zayn is tagged in and uses the ropes against Cesaro. Sami does a remarkable job with keeping Cesaro in the heel's corner. Corbin tags in and hits a back drop on Cesaro. Corbin pulls Cesaro up by the arm, buries a knee into his midsection, and uses a Strong Irish Whip to flatten Cesaro in the corner! Corbin comes in and pounds Cesaro as he tries to rise. Corbin tags in Uso, and holds Cesaro's leg to allow Uso to come over and stomp Cesaro. Jey beats on Cesaro in the corner, then whips the Swiss Cyborg into the opposite corner. Sami Zayn mocks Cesaro, yelling "pound for pound the strongest man in WWE?" Uso attacks Cesaro in the corner, then attempts a cover. Uso slaps on a headlock, but Cesaro powers to his feet. Uso throws a knee into Cesaro's gut, then moves over to punch Kevin Owens.
