WWE Friday Night SmackDown Quick Recap for November 19, 2021

Matches Tonight: Five
  • Survivor Series Qualifier Fatal 4-Way Match: Sheamus vs Cesaro vs Ricochet vs Jinder Mahal. Sheamus won with assistance from Ridge Holland. 8:24-8:34pm EST.
  • Tag Match: Aliyah & Naomi vs Natalya & Shayna Baszler. Short (less than a minute) match that saw Natalya get aid from a fast count from the ref, continuing the conspiracy theory narrative that WWE Official Sonya Deville has it out for both Aliyah and Naomi. 8:53-8:54pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Jeff Hardy vs Madcap Moss w/ Happy Corbin. This marked Madcap Moss' in-ring solo debut. Another super-short match that saw Jeff Hardy pick up the win. Drew McIntyre had Hardy's back and took position in his corner as a deterrence to Corbin's attempts at interference. 9:06-9:08pm EST.
  • Singles Non-Title Match: Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs Angel (Garza). WWE has begun shortening names again. Another short match; Nakamura won. 9:17-9:19pm EST.
  • Singles Main Event Match: Sasha Banks vs Shotzi. Decent match that saw Banks win via submission with a Crossface. 9:26-9:37pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Survivor Series Roster Update: Toni Storm was added to the SmackDown Women's team. Sheamus was added to the SmackDown Men's team after winning a Fatal 4-Way tonight.
  • Reigns Championship Streak: 446 days as of tonight, per Michael Cole.
  • The Ascension of Roman Reigns: We opened our program with the Bloodline occupying the ring--made up with a royal setup, complete with a throne. Woods confronted Reigns; the Usos destroyed the throne, cloak, scepter, etc as Roman explained he only took the crown because he could. The lengthy segment ended after the Usos beat down Woods 8:01-8:17pm EST.
  • Final Words: Universal Champion Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman, exchanged words with King Xavier Woods in our final segment of the night. Big E showed up, neutralizing the Usos. Big E and King Woods took some time stomping mud holes into Roman Reigns before finishing the Usos off with a pair of Big Endings. The New Day stood proud and loud at the end of the segment as the Bloodline looked on, incensed and in disbelief, from up the ramp. 9:52-9:58pm EST.
