WWE Friday Night SmackDown Ratings (6/17/2022): Numbers Up For Show Featuring Vince McMahon Appearance


The final numbers are in for last week's edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The Friday, June 17, 2022 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX finished with an average of 2.290 million viewers, according to Nielsen figures released via Showbuzz Daily, keeping with the projections stemming from the preliminary figures for the show that we reported on Sunday.

Friday night's two-hour WWE on FOX blue brand program was up 19.64 percent from the previous week's final viewership of 1.914 million viewers for what was the post-WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 episode of the show.

In the coveted 18-to-49 year old demographic, the 6/17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown drew a 0.57 rating, up 30.66 percent from the 0.44 rating the show drew in the same demo on 6/10.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown on 6/17 ranked number one for the key 18-49 demo on all of network television, up from the number four ranking that the show drew the previous week.

The show also ranked number one in the 18-to-34 year-old demographic for this week's show, which was also up from last week's episode, which ranked number three in the same target demo.

SmackDown also took the number one ranking for the 25-to-54 year-old demographic for the 6/17 episode, up from the number five spot that the show drew in the same target demo for the 6/10 episode.

Last week's SmackDown drew the highest total audience for the weekly two-hour WWE on FOX program since the "go-home" episode for WrestleMania 38 back on April 1. The show also delivered the highest key demo rating since the post-WrestleMania 38 episode on April 8.

The Friday, June 17, 2022 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX featured a special appearance by Vince McMahon, who opened the show despite stepping down as WWE CEO & Chairman due to the alleged $3 million "hush pact" over a reported affair. The show featured a main event of Roman Reigns vs. Riddle for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
